In the latest issue of Marie Claire, Zoe Saldana shares her thoughts on love, disrespect and leaving ex-boyfriends in the past. See her comments inside and find out how Fox Sports "sidelined" Pam Oliver.
Star Wars star Zoe Saldana covers the August issue of Marie Claire where she opens up about her husband Marco Perego and has some very interesting thoughts on leaving the past in the past. Zoe's always entertaining. Here are the highlights....
On her relationship with husband Marco Perego: “I don’t do the ABCs. I do what my heart says, what my heart feels. So from the moment I met my husband, we were together. We knew.”
On the biggest thing she’s learned about relationships:“Not to settle. If you’re not happy with a person, leave. And wait until you find that one person who makes you feel good about yourself every single day and is not expecting you to change, but to grow.”
On disrespect:“I have been in relationships where a man has disrespected me, and I don’t need to be friends with that man anymore. I don’t want to be the one going, ‘I’m cool, because I’m friends with all my exes.’ There’s a reason why you’re called an ex. I crossed you off my list. Moving on. You cross a line, you need to know that you’re going to walk this earth knowing that there’s an individual who has no respect for you.”

In sports news.....
After 19 years as one of the network's top reporters (officially called the No. 1 sideline spot) Pam Oliver has been sidelined to the No. 2 Fox team with Kevin Burkhardt and John Lynch. She's been replaced by the very-blonde Erin Andrews.
This isn't new news to Pam. She's know for a little while. She told SI,
"“To go from the lead crew to no crew was a little shocking,” Oliver said. “I said I wanted to do a 20th year [on the sidelines]. I expressed to them that I was not done and had something to offer. Again, I think it was predetermined coming in. Not at that meeting, but two years ago it was determined that no matter what I did or did not do, a change would be made for this year.”
“Disappointment is not really a word I’d use right now because I’ve had some weeks to process it,” Oliver continued. “I think my emotions during the season will be sadness because I had been around that group for a decade. I will miss all the little things, just from Joe’s impersonations of people and Troy’s bad impersonations of people and all of the running jokes -- that was the hardest part of hearing the news. But you have to move forward and deal with what is on your plate. I went through a range of emotions, but as I speak with you today, disappointment has passed me and I have reached a point of trying to move forward with some sadness."
A few months ago, you'll recall Pam was the subject of thousands of NASTY memes because of some of her "sideline" hairstyles. They often compared her to Chubaka from Star Wars. Tsk Tsk. We're sure this wasn't the sole factor in her re-assignment...but it couldn't have helped.
