The pre-BET Awards events are in full swing and last night the beautiful ones came out for a black tie event to honor the leading industry honchos in L.A. Peep the event pics inside…

Last night was a star-studded affair as the young, black and fabulous came out for the invite-only black tie event to honor the top industry executives who are influencing the culture, dominating their perspective field and making a significant impact in music, sports, and entertainment.

Orchestrated by Miss Diddy of The Brand Group, Meagan Good, Floyd Mayweather, Tae Heckard, Brandon Jennings, Kyla Pratt & her man, Tami Roman, Emily B, Amber Rose, Malaysia Pargo and more trekked it to the chic Riveria 31 lounge at the Sofitel Hotel in L.A. to recognize the leaders in "Young Hollywood."

Meagan Good and her sister La’Myia Good (above) were honored for their new non-profit foundation “The Greater Good.”  And Meagan’s husband DeVon Franklincame to support his wife as she accepted her award.

Undefeated boxing champ Floyd Mayweather was all smiles on the carpet with his business partner/CEO of Regal Management Ricki Brazil.

Ricki was honored at the event and Floyd took the stage to say a few words, “We’ve known each other since we were kids and he has been a pivotal part of my success and the success of The Money Team, and we came here in full support this evening.”

Kyla Pratt hit the carpet in a revealing laced dress alongside her boyfriend Danny Kilpatrick as she was honored at the event.

Tae Heckard and her man Detroit Pistons baller Brandon Jennings were in attendance. Tae looked classy in her neon colored dress and white blazer. Nice look for her.

“BBW Miami” star Tami Roman grabbed her black Vivienne Westwood hat and hit the carpet showing off a little cleavage in all black. Tami is looking good these days after her weight loss.

Before hitting up Bootsie Bellows nightclub with Karrueche, Emily B and Amber Rose stopped for a photo-op.

"BBW LA" star Malaysia Pargo and her new bestie/co-star Brandi Maxiell had a little fun on the red carpet with The Game's ex-fiancée Tiffney Cambridge.

"BBW" star Jackie Christie's daughter Chantel Christie and her purple hair rocked the red carpet.

Singer RaVaughn Brown served some sexy in a cute black and white look.

Diddy’s son Qunicy (who celebrated his 23rd birthday earlier this month) was there.

And Blac Chyna came out to support.

Think Like A Man Too producer Will Packer calls a lawsuit filed by a former business partner "...frivolous, misguided and petty."  Find out why Will's former partner feels cheated out of their fortune inside....

Former Rainforest Productions partners William (Will) E. Packer, Jr. and Robert (Rob) E. Hardy, II (shown above) are being sued by former investor and partner Bernard H. Bronner (below), who claims"breaches of fiduciary duty, gross mismanagement, misappropriation of corporate assets, waste of corporate assets and abuse control."

Bernard, who founded UPSCALE Magazine, filed a lawsuit with the Superior Court of Fulton County Georgia claiming he'd invested $500,000 to start Rainforest with Will and Rob and had raised more than $250,000 for the company. Despite their success with films Stomp the Yard, Takers, Think Like a Man, and Think Like a Man, Too. Bernard says Will and Rob have achieved baller status but HAVE NOT distributed their profits fairly. In fact, he says he's...

"received only a fraction of the initial amount invested in Rainforest...Despite this fact, (Will) Packer and (Rob) Hardy have extracted millions of dollars from RAINFOREST and their respective ownerships are nearly equivalent to (Bernard) Bronner’s."

Will and Rob release a statement challenging the claims saying,

“Bernard was a valuable supporter at a key time for Rainforest, and we remain grateful for his assistance. We also understand his disappointment about the shareholders majority vote decision to dissolve Rainforest. We wish only the best for Bernard and all the other Rainforest shareholders. When the emotionalism subsides, we hope Bernard will feel the same and realize that his frivolous course of action is personal, misguided and petty.”

Now Will and Rob (who've since dissolved Rainforest Productions), may have to meet Bernard in court as he's demanding a jury trial and punitive damages and other relief.

Rapper Ice-T is currently dealing with news no grandparent (or parent) wants to hear. His grandson is sitting behind bars after he accidently shot and killed his roommate in their apartment…allegedly. Deets inside…

Sad news for Ice-T’s family. The rapper’s 19-year-old grandson Elyjah Marrow (who appeared on Ice’s reality show “Ice Loves Coco”) has been arrested after reports that he accidently shot and killed his roommate in their Georgia apartment.

Cops tell TMZ Ice-T’s grandson (pictured above) is currently in custody after a handgun accidentally went off while in his possession, fatally wounding his 19-year-old roommate, Daryus Johnson.

Now Elyjah is facing a slew of charges after the unfortunate incident. He has been charged with involuntary manslaughter, possession of firearm in the commission of a felony and reckless conduct. He is also being charged with additional charges: possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, and possession of a stolen firearm. No word from Ice-T as of yet.

Rumors have been circulating that Malaysia Pargo may have found someone new...and that would be rapper-turned-pastor-turned-rapper again Mase. And to add fuel to the fire, the "BBW LA" star is the love interest in the rapper's upcoming video titled, “Nothing.”

You’ll recall a few months ago Malaysia filed for divorce from her NBA husband Jannero Pargo, citing irreconcilable differences. Also, Mase and his now ex-wife Twyla Betha were going back and forth on whether they wanted to split or not.  But they most recently called it quits, finalizing their divorce.

Budding singer Bridget Kelly (above at last night's Young Hollywood event) has confirmed her split with Jay Z’s Roc Nation record label. And she confirms there is no bad blood between them.

In an interview with Rap-Up TV, Bridget said,

“Honestly we needed to part ways,” she said. “You outgrow situations sometimes. I still feel their love. They’re still people I confide in and people that I have a really strong personal relationship with, so in order to keep that intact we needed to just go our separate ways.”

The singer said it was a bit scary to make the move, but she’s ready to embark on her career as an independent artist.

“It was scary at first, but it’s liberating to know that I can just go in with whoever and put anything out that I want to and say what I want to.”

She added,

“I’m really excited ’cause I’m getting to say what I wanna say and talk about all the love in my life and all the stuff I’ve been going through.”

Bridget will be releasing her debut album (not on Roc Nation) in September. Nice.

Friday evening, XL recording label confirmed that legendary funk & soul artist Bobby Womack passed away at the age of 70. Details inside, plus his likely epic material that was on deck...

"If You Think You're Lonely Now" legendary singer Bobby Womack has passed away at the age of 70, as confirmed by his label, XL recordings.  The rep says the cause of death is uncertain at this time.

Bobby began his career in the family group, Curtis Womack and the Womack Brothers with his siblings Curtis, Harry, Cecil and Friendly Jr.  Fellow legendary singer Sam Cooke also signed to the group to his own label SAR Records.  But the group, then called the Valentinos, disbanded after Sam Cooke died, SAR Records was disbanded, and Bobby married Sam's widow, Barbara Campbell.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Famer played guitar on some legendary albums of folks like Aretha Franklin.  And, according to Miss Info, he was gearing up to release music with his umpteen Grammy award winner labelmte Adele.  Miss Info revealed:

The legally married rapper, who has been spending much of his free time lately with the still legally married Khloe Kardashian, also hosted a big party at Don Coqui in the Bronx Thursday night that totaled over $100,000.  That's a really good "friend" if they still want to stick to that story.

While partying it up with the whole Kardashian fam and friends that night, French surprised Khloe with a brand new almost $50,000 Jeep Wrangler:

Fabulous "TODAY" anchor Tamron Hall caught the attention of naturalistas everywhere for the first time.  Decide if we love it inside and see new pics of Amber Rose showing off her new clothing store....

Earlier today, Tamron Hall (shown above with Al Roker) appeared at the TODAY show anchor desk rocking her natural hair.  Why is this a big deal?  For starters...it was her first time doing so.  She admitted on Twitter that the decision came about because she was too tired to use a flat iron this morning....

Her appearance inspired several tweets that questioned the meaning of "natural."  Tamron responded, "no chemical or heat."

"TODAY" viewers answered a poll and decided that they loved Tamron's hair...

Famed hair stylist, Johnny Wright (who's worked with Tamron and who's also credited with creating First Lady Michelle Obama's bangs) told TheYBF.com, "She looks awesome. I love it!!"

Earlier this week, we learned that BET execs were willing to pay big bucks to bring Chris Brown's post-jailhouse life to the small screen. 

We thought this was a TERRIBLE idea (for a man in recovery) and LUCKILY Chris agreed.  TMZ caught up with him in LA recently and when asked if he'd do reality tv, he said "No, Not For Me."

Turining down reality tv is one of the best decisions Chris has made in months.  #praisedance

Gina Rodriguez, the Hollywood agent who's guided the careers of Nadya ‘Octomom’ Suleman and V. Stiviano (hmph...) has taken on Jeremy as a client and she claims she's in talks with four production companies and three different modeling agencies.

Oh....and Jeremy has as stylist.His agent says his team will be copping him a Tom Ford suit for his upcoming court date. Why? Gina knows that the world is watching and she doesn't want some tacky orange jumpsuit to prevent #PrisonBae from getting work.

She told Fox411, "‘We want him to look as good as possible in the court. We are worried that current pictures of him in prison garb will mean he will not get a fair trial.’

She added,

“We’ve been talking with attorneys and doing everything we can to get him the proper legal representation. I know that everyone is reporting on how he’s a criminal and he doesn’t deserve [fame] and he’s got this past gang affiliation, but that’s just it-- that’s the key word, that’s his past. Unfortunately, it was all brought up again because of his mug shot being put out and then everyone started digging into his past. I think that everyone is focusing on his [alleged] gang affiliation, and he’s not [a gang member]. He’s a family man… In my opinion, I don’t know if [law enforcement] is upset with him, because he got so much attention [for his mug shot], but it wasn’t his fault. They posted his picture and the media ran with it because of the way he looks. I think that if he has a chance to have an amazing career, and change his life for his family, that’s the ultimate rags to riches story.”

"Designing Women" star Meshach Taylor passed away last night at the age of 67.  More inside....  

67-year-old Emmy-nominated actor Meshach Taylor, who rose to fame as "Anthony Bouvier" on the 1980s sitcom "Designing Women" died last night after a long battle with cancer.

Meshach was in hospice care at his family's home in Altadena, CA and was surrounded by his wife, children and mother. His son Tariq Taylor and agent Dede Binder confirmed his death to the LA Times.

On June 27, his family posted on Facebook,

"It is with love and gratitude that we sorrowfully announce that our darling, amazingly brilliant and dynamic, Meshach, the incredible father, husband, son and friend has begun his grand transition."

Meshach was nominated for an Emmy in 1989 for his role on "Designing Women" and will be remembered for roles on ""Hannah Montana", "The Drew Carey Show" and the 1987 cult classic "Mannequin."

We told you that 10-year-old Annie star Quvenzhane Wallis was the new face of Armani Junior and now we've got a look at her photoshoot.  She stars in the 2014 fall/winter ad campaign, shot by Stefano Azario.

Quvenzhane, who was nominated for an Oscar for Beasts Of The Southern Wild, told PEOPLE that her new modeling gig differs from acting. 

"With acting you have lots and lots of lines. When you’re doing modeling you make faces, you dance, you just play around! “And it doesn’t really matter what you do. With acting you have to be very precise with what you’re doing.”

For those of you who've questioned Zendaya Coleman's casting as Aaliyah...make no mistake...Zendaya is a huge star.  The 17-year-old triple-threat singer/dancer/actress recently starred in the Disney feature "Zapped" this weekend and the film has already become the HIGHEST rated cable tv movie of 2014 among tweens with 5.7 million viewers.  Not too shabby.  Her portrayal of Aaliyah has the potential to introduce the "One In A Million" singer to a new generation.

Tonight at the 2014 BET Awards, Usher is reportedly performing an eyebrow-raising song "I Don't Mind" featuring Juicy J.  Listen to the track inside and find out what the fuss is about.

We're gearing up for the 2014 BET Awards this evening and we've heard that Usher will be hitting the stage with Juicy J for "I Don't Mind."  The single follows his track "Good Kisser" and finds Usher crooning about his girlfriend....a stripper.  Sample lyrcs:

The paps caught BET's newest talk show host, KeKe Palmer, heading to Debra Lee's Pre-Award Show dinner last night.  She left the J.W. Marriot Hotel looking stunning in a sexy Antonio Beradi blue suit with black lapels and Manolo Blahnik Pacha Clear & Black PVC-Patent Pumps.  HOT.

"Golden" singer Jill Scott was among the celebs who appeared at Day 2 of the Radio Broadcast Center during the BET Awards '14 Los Angeles, California yesterday. 

The Radio Broadcast Center provided celebs the opportunity to come by and promote new projects.  Jill told her fans that she'll be headlining the Essence Music Fest In New Orleans next weekend.  And we're pretty sure she's going to kill it.

Singer Jazmine Sullivan (kicking it above with T-Pain), who briefly left the music business in 2011, is back with a new project called Reality Show.  She spoke about the album in a recent Billboard interview saying,

"I don't think I'm going to have many 'I'm angry; My guy did me wrong' type of songs, because I've grown and experienced other things in the relationship," she says. "But I can't shake them angry songs. [Laughs] I think the angry songs got chosen as singles, so those who didn't listen to the albums associate me with those angry songs."

TamarBraxton stopped by to promote her "Love & War" tour while Ashanti, who performed at NYC Pride this weekend, talked about her Braveheart disc.  We're kinda feeling Ashanti's look.  Hope she hasn't run into her ex Nelly and his new chick while on the scene in L.A. this weekend.

We've got a roundup of 2014 BET Awards activities from the weekend. See YBF faves like Jennifer Hudson, Tatyana Ali, Faith Evans and more....

Prior to the airing of the 2014 BET Awards, the network hosted a series of events to make up the 2014 BET Experience At L.A. LIVE. Here's a rundown of what went down Saturday: 

Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson signed autographs at the BET Experience at the LA Convention Center.

Big Tigger hosted a series called Acoustically Speaking where he chatted with a number of singers including Faith Evans. A few days ago, we told you about Faith's summer single "I Deserve It."  

Singers Alice Smith and Tank were also a part of the sessions.  Love seeing the jazzy Ms. Smith get her shine!

On the main stages....

Tristan "Mack" Wilds treated fans to a medley of his songs including "Own It."

Sevyn Streeter also performed.  Hmm....the last time we saw Sevyn in THAT position, Mack Wilds was on the receiving end of a lap dance.  We're not mad at it though...get it boo.

And Ma$e returned to the stage with singer Eric Bellinger.  The two have a pair of collabos together called "I Don't Want Her" and "Nothing."

Stacy Barthe and Talib Kweli performed as well. 

Omarion performed a medley of solo hits and songs from the B2K era at the BETX Dance Competition.  This dude would be in You Got Served 32 if there was one...

On the courts.....

Chris Brown and Justin Bieber participated in the Sprite Celebrity Basketball Game.

And so did the Game....and ebded up getting injured!  He tweeted,"Put up a dub in the #BET celebrity game wit a broken bone in my foot !!!! #AskSnoop"  Damn homie.

Speaking of Snoop....he played in the game and held his own against the youngins.  At the end, he came out and posed for pics and flaunted his abs!

In the gifting suites.....

SHEEN MAGAZINE hosted a Premium Gifting Suite during BET Experience Weekend.  And it brought out "BBW LA" star BrittishWilliams.

The sexy men of "Hit The Floor" Robert C. Riley and McKinley Freeman hosted the suite which carried a "Bonnie & Clyde" theme.  Of course.  We would be Bonnie to Robert's Clyde ANY day....

Actress and producer Torrei Hart posed with Tatyana Ali at the Mondrian for an environmental event called Young, Black & Green that Tatyana hosted. Alesha Renee was also on hand.

And Kiyah Wright, Teairra Marie, Elise Neal and Coco Brown posed at the AJ Crimson Beauty Lounge.  Work ladies. 

Kim Kimble (shown with Sheree Fletcher) and her team took over the Beverly Wilshire hotel for the BEATS, BRANDS and BEAUTY LOUNGE.

"BBW LA" Malaysia Pargo stopped by for a touchup.

With LGBT Pride celebrations being held all around the country this weekend, actress Raven Symone showed her support on social media by wishing her fans a "#happypride."  See the pic inside....

Raven Symone waved her pride flag on social media today, tweeting a pic of herself (atop) with the caption "#happypride! Goodmorning! Xoxo." We're feeling the Janet Jackson"What's It Gonna Be?!" tease.

If you've been following Raven's journey (via TheYBF.com), Raven's picture is significant because she's truly opening herself up to fans about her life.

You'll recall that she was "sorta" pulled out of the closet after fans started speculating about her appearance at several LGBT events and her close friendship with model AzMarie Livingston a few months ago.  And she followed it all with an open letter seeming to confirm it.

Now, Raven (shown above in an Instagram pic from earlier this month) is showing her "pride."  Good for her.
