Nick Cannon opened up for the first time publicly this morning on "Good Morning America" regarding his surprising new diagnosis.  Deets inside on his rare form of Lupus...

Talking to Robin Roberts today on "GMA," rapper/comedian/"American's Got Talent" host Nick Cannon revealed he has "a rare form of lupus that's just attacking [his] kidneys."

The surprising news comes after a long stint in Aspen & L.A. hospitals during the Christmas Holidays where doctors first thought Nick had a kidney disease and was severly dehydrated.

"They thought it was just kidney disease and then they were trying to figure out why my immune system was attacking my kidneys and that was sort of the root of it all. I scared a lot of people. I scared myself."

So the dad to twins Moroccan & Monroe quit his radio show last month and is taking it a bit easier.  And Mrs. Cannon is indeed doting on her hubby:

"I have been ordered to sleep at least six hours a night. They say rest is probably the best medicine. I'm dealing with it. Of course I'm not used to the medicines, but I feel like I'm starting to figure out a lot of holistic ways, meditation and stuff to get through it."

"[Mariah] made me an egg-white sandwich before I left the house this morning.  She takes care of me, makes sure I'm eating what I'm supposed to be."

"I have to be around for my children.  They're my motivation for the whole thing."

Awww.  While the news of his rare disease is surprising, scary, and sad, it's good to see his positive attitude.

Maia Campbell is back! She recently shot an interview with Get Noticed Media where she dished on her upcoming projects like her "Make Em Say" single (available on iTunes).

She also added that she wants to write a book about her life called ‘Sagittarius’ and work with Tyler Perry on a film based on her mother Bebe Moore Campbell’s book ’72 Hour Hold.’

She added,

‘I know the last time everyone saw me, I was way out there on the other stretch of the road. I got myself together, I’ve been sober for two years and I’ve been stable and very [aware] of how this industry works. I’ve been in this industry since I was a little girl so I’m a professional. I am very able to jump back into these waters and swim deep and get it in. So let’s get it poppin.’

Brandy has announced the title of her sixth studio album, Two Eleven, (due in June). And Two Eleven represents the day that Whitney Houston died.  

Although Brandy may honor Whitney with her album title, but she's still not ready to sing any Whitney songs.

She told the L.A. audience during a performance this weekend at The Factory:

"I heard there was a rumor that I was doing a Whitney Houston tribute tonight -- unfortunately that's not true, because I would be an emotional wreck right now.  I'm just not ready to sing any of her songs. You guys know what that's like."

About the album's sound, she told Rolling Stone Magazine:

"I haven't done R&B in a very long time. This album is rooted in R&B. The sound is different, it's about love. It's mature, it's gritty, it's edgy."

Fab!  Will you be buying it?

As if it couldn't get any nastier, Pilar just took her divorce from Deion Sanders up a notch by naming the names of alleged mistresses....including Babyface's ex-wife Tracey Edmonds! Deets inside...........

Down in Texas, Pilar Sanders has filed a motion demanding sanctions against Deion for tampering with witnesses.  So....what does she think Deion did? She believes Deion was a cheating man so she wants to call his "mistresses" into the proceedings to get the dirty deets. Sounds like Pilar should star in the new version of "Dallas" hitting TNT soon.

But the only problem is, now she thinks Deion is paying the chicks to be quiet.  One chick named in the case is 20-year-old model Aleea Stanton.

But it gets better......

As Pilar asks the court for sanctions against Deion for intentional destruction of evidence and corruption, one of the alleged mistresses she wants on the stand is Tracey Edmonds!

But Tracey was shocked that her name came up.  She told TMZ, 

"I am shocked to learn that Pilar Sanders is trying to drag me and my employees through her pre-nuptual dispute. I cannot understand why she continues to create public issues out of her private life issues and feel very sorry for their children."

Well damn.

Tracey added, "For the record, Deion Sanders and I first met at the top of this year, after he filed for divorce, when he and his partner reached out to me to produce a project of his."

Oprah Winfrey has landed the FIRST interview with Whitney Houston's family since her passing, as previously reported.  Watch the trailer inside.....

On Sunday, March 11, Oprah's OWN Network will air a sit down with Whitney Houston's daughter, Bobbi Kristina; Whitney's sister-in-law, Patricia Houston; and Whitney's brother, Gary Houston, on a special episode of "Oprah's Next Chapter" airing at 9/8c. 

During the chat, Bobbi Kristina shares personal memories of her mom and how she would like the iconic superstar to be remembered. The family also addresses the rumors and speculation surrounding Houston's death.

Chick may be certifiable on many-a-levels, but Marlo loves a posh party doesn't she?  And she's looking great.  The newest fashion loving friend of the ATL Housewives was in Europe last month for her actual birthday.  So Saturday night, her good friend, interior designer Michel Boyd, hosted a fete in her honor at his luxe home.

The sequined pants and SEX Louboutin pump wearing chick kicked it with her host Michel (above) and with friends like Lawrence Washington.

Looks like her sponsor hooked her up for her b-day with a fabulous all black and silver look for her big night.  Her bestie NeNe must have been busy with work because we can't imagine why she would miss this otherwise.  Marlo told Uptown magazine recently about her controversial friendship with Ms. Leakes saying "Team Smalls" was trying too hard to keep her away from NeNe:

I am only really close with NeNe, and I am cool with Cynthia. We don’t talk outside of NeNe. There are no hard feelings. At the end of the day, I don’t know them. I am going to kill them with kindness. In the beginning, I was hanging with the other girls and they were talking about NeNe so much. Me being Marlo, I think it is crazy how these women, excluding Cynthia, were talking about that one person. I said I was going to meet her myself. After I met NeNe we hit it off. We made some unhappy campers. They were praying that it didn’t work. We are both real and confident. When I am with NeNe, I have a great time. Whatever is on her mind she is going to tell me. NeNe has been honest and a friend to me. It was nothing like what I heard.

Newbie "Basketball Wives" star Kenya Bell is going off about last night's (Monday's) episode.  And she is extra pissy about the other cast members talking ish behind her back.  Check out whay she had to say about why she was unprepared for her meeting, the weave and all the other drama...

Kenya Bell called into Detroit’s COCO, Foolish & Mr. Chase's morning show on FM98 to talk about all the beef and foolishness on last night's episode.

The Detroit native started off the interview by saying she is "mad as hell with these hot-ass-mess-chicks. These heffas is hating! We film and you don’t know what people are saying behind your back. So it’s like ‘wow... really?’ It’s crazy!"

On why she appeared so unprepared for the meeting with Tami:

"That was not like a music managing group. Tami's team is a design team. All they do is basically style and pictures. They really don’t do anything with music they just wanted to hear my song… they weren’t a music group or anything like that. They basically just do photos and styling for an album cover, etc…"

On her coat Tami called a "peasant coat"

Kenya said it was actually a Save the Queen coat that costs about $3,000.

On being a trending topic on Twitter

“Third week in a row! So I was just like, 'Yall hate is making me great'”

On if she'll come back for another season:

“I don’t know... we’ll see how it all ends up. I'm just the new girl and there's new girls every year. They just go in on the new girl. Your thoughts about last night's foolery?

Rappers have their good days and bad days.  Recently, The Game showed some bad behavior when he spits on a set of fans in one video and then allowed his friends to grope and unwilling female fan on another. 

See the video inside and see Waka Flocka being a good rapper as he hooks up with PETA again to defend the rights of dogs and other animals.

What's wrong with The Game?  He was recently caught spitting on some fans at the Bourbon Bar nightclub in Australia over the weekend. And then his crew groping a chick on stage at another concert stop overseas.

Well, a group of girls were trying to get his attention and when he approached the girls, he spit towards them.

Brydie McCreadie, 19, who filmed the video said,

"I was like, 'whoa'. At first I wasn't sure if he was spitting at me.  He was sitting there drinking. We were all a bit drunk. I think they were just excited to see him." 

She then said he took off his gold chain.  "I think he was about to start a fight or look tough," Brydie said.

Now, video has emerged of Game urging an unwilling female fan to show her breasts at a show in Adelaide before his friends grope her and eventually push her off stage.  Yes, some folks will ask why she put herself in the lion's den in the first place.  But there's really no excuse for this.  Whether she's black, white, or whatever...

"Round of Applause" rapper Waka Flocka Flame took a break from his PETA photo shoot to talk about the joys and responsibilities of caring for a dog.  And also, he talked about dogfighting and spoke against anyone who supports it.

Oh what a difference a year makes.  Kanye West returned to the runway tonight at Paris Fashion Week.  The guru rapper/producer proved if you give him a chance, he can hold his own in fashion as well.

Kanye revealed his brand new Fall/Winter 2012 collection tonight with his celebrity and designer friends in tow.  Pics inside from the show...

In a much improved (from his first attempt) collection, Kanye showed a polished, structured, luxe, edgy with sex appeal theme. Tall banded leather boots and sheer and cut-out booties accompanied all of his looks.  And his recent work with Givenchy (many of Kanye's WTT tour clothes were made with the deisgner) clearly showed through in Kanye's second collection.

Gorgeous chick Freema Agyeman has landed one of the most coveted slots in Hollywood right now as she will star on the new CW series "The Carrie Diaries." 

Billed as the prequel to the HBO series, Freema will play Larissa, a hip, cutting-edge editor/party girl who works at "Interview" magazine and who serves as Carrie Bradshaw's mentor when she arrives in NYC in the 1980s.  Freema recently starred in "Law & Order: UK" and "Doctor Who."

She will star alongside AnnaSophia Robb, who will take on the starring role of the young Carrie Bradshaw. 

Candice Bushnell (the author of the books), along with Josh Schwartz, Stephanie Savage, Len Goldstein and Amy B. Harris, will produce the show.

"Love & Hip Hop" creator, Mona Scott-Young, chatted with Justthefab.com where she revealed she is currently casting for the Atlanta version of the hit series.  Though she wouldn't name names, she said that she is excited about the series and it will stay true to the "Atlanta" feel. 

When asked about the Chrissy and Jim Jones situation, Mona said she adores Chrissy but thinks the toll of having the camera expose intimate details of her life was overwhelming.  She added, "Right now I'm giving her some time and Im hoping things will calm down and she'll feel a little bit better." SIDEBAR:  Seems like Chrissy isn't on board for season 3 yet!

When asked about Yandy, she said she thinks Yandy grew from the rollercoaster experience but admits it did have some serious repercussions for her (e.g. ending her business relationship with Jim).

On how she and Carmelo have lasted 8 years

“It’s been 15 days since I’ve seen my husband. That’s a long time for us to go without seeing each other. But I went on this whirlwind of launching the makeup line and my husband’s a basketball player. It’s not like he can say, ‘Hey, I’m not playing in the game today, I’m going to meet up with my wife somewhere.’ We’ve been together for eight years and I think we’ve lasted this long because we give each other space.  But there’s also that time where it can be too much space.”

On being successful and having it all

“I’m never satisfied—career-wise, I mean—I’m always looking for the next thing; that’s just my personality,” she says. “Why can’t I be a great mom, wife, TV host, actress, producer, have my own reality show and makeup line? The hard part is the balancing of it all.”

On trusting her husband Carmelo

“I wouldn’t say it’s a misconception, because there are a lot of athletes who do live a certain life with women everywhere,” La La says. “So you can’t act like it’s the craziest thing you’ve ever heard, because it is out there. But I’m secure in my relationship. I’m happy with having my own thing going on. I don’t spend all day worrying about what he’s doing. In that sense, I trust him.”

On staying confident

Tap into your uniquenessss - “I encourage people to embrace whatever it is that makes them different. Not being like everybody, setting your own trends, being your own person, that’s what
makes you cool.”

On making peace with your insecurities

“In this day and age, [people will] tear you to hell: ‘Her hair, her legs, her this, her that.’ So it is sometimes hard to stay as confident as you like. I’m just like anybody else. Weight goes up and down, sometimes I’m killing myself to be on a crazy diet, sometimes I’m not. Sometimes I feel like my legs are too skinny, other times I don’t. As you get more mature you learn to embrace insecurities and figure out how to be okay with that stuff, to keep it in perspective.”

On building a great support system

“My family always encouraged me and supported me. While still a teenager, I told my mom one day I was moving to L.A.  She was like, ‘All right, I’ll go with you, get you settled and come back.’ If I didn’t have that I wouldn’t be confident to do all these things.”

Well this is interesting.  Former NFL star Eddie George--the husband of Tamara "Taj" George from singing group SWV--was caught up in a recent DUI.  But he wasn't the culprit.  A pro-golfing blonde was.

Deets inside...

21-year-old Rachel Connor--a pro-golfer from the UK who is here in America on a visa--was arrested at 2:21AM this morning in Sarasota, Florida for a DUI.  And, according to TMZ, a man identified as 38-year-old Eddie George was in the passenger seat.  Eddie didn't get arrested, only Rachel.

Her topmost breathalyzer registered at .137, way over the .8 legal limit.  Rachel claimed she only had 2 vodka cranberries earlier in the night.

Rachel twitpic'd the above picture several hours before of herself (on far left), Eddie and a friend at an event.  And another pic of them together on a golf course.  So it was likely some type of celebrity golf event.   And apparently Eddie needed a ride back to his hotel?
