The Dream is speaking out about his friend Rihanna saying it was her idea to add Chris Brown to the "Birthday Cake (Remix)". He added that if she has forgiven him, so should everyone else. Get the deets inside....

The Dream has spoken out to Billboard about Rihanna's controversial "Birthday Cake Remix" saying,

"For me, it's just music -- two talented people doing a record together, doing two records together, and that's what it was. It wasn't about an incident that happened. The true thing really is to forgive, and… you want to believe in people."

He added,

"It was Rih's idea.  Not only do we work together, but [Rihanna] is a friend of mine. And it's like, 'You wanna do something? Then cool, let's do it.' I don't know how she got the logistics and how it happened -- maybe she'll talk about it one day. I showed up at the studio, and it was like, 'All right, cool, let's finish this record,' which we probably should have finished the first time we did it."

All in all, he ended by saying, "Because this is about her, if she can forgive, that's where she is mentally. As a friend, it's like, 'Okay, cool. Let's roll.'"

So it seems like many folks are moving on from the Chris Brown incident from a few years ago.  On forgiving Chris, he said,

"I think [the topic] that should be more on the tongues is: how do we proclaim to be a nation of forgiving, and we go by all of these rules and everything, but we can't actually do it? It actually makes you look weaker than your adversary -- if you don't have the power to forgive, but you lie and say that you did.

Interesting point.  Thoughts?

She was headed over to a studio where she began filming a new project.

She also responded to a fan asking if she had any big projects she's working on today and said, "Lol! Exec producing a tv show today in London #2pacBACK."

This whole scenario should have never happened.  Singer Jaheim set it off this past weekend at the homegoing services of Whitney Houston...in this foolywang luminous purple-blue "suit."  Now out of respect of the legend's somber day, we ignored his pic. 

But now that he's going off about people's ish talking....

To start, Jaheim decided it was a good idea to twirl his electric self into the funeral of the legendary Whitney Houston last weekend in this purple-blue zoot suit. 

And not only did he make sure he was pictured arriving, but he found time to hit up the New Hope Baptist Church bathroom to snap a pic of himself (above) and later tweeted it out.  Because none of us could have gotten through the day without seeing this sight, of course.

Jersey native Jaheim said he was not formally invited to the services, but after receiving genius advise from his "musical godmother" Dyana Williams, he decided to go anyway and PRAY his whole ride to the church that he would be allowed in.  Can't expect much more from someone whose first two albums were formally called Ghetto Love & Still Ghetto.

Somebody must have answered his prayers...or just wanted to help a brotha out...because the "Fabulous" singer indeed made his way into the services.  But when people caught a glimpse of his getup, they had lots to say.  So this evening, Jaheim took to his Twitter to pop off on folks.  And he let everyone know his "fabulous suit" cost more than everything in a hater's closet. *Snaps*

Cassie stopped by MTV recently to promote her single "King Of Hearts." Here are the highlights.....

BUZZWORTHY: What are some of your favorite Whitney Houston memories or moments? Had you ever met her?

CASSIE: I've never met her, but that would have been amazing. "I Will Always Love You" has been stuck in my head for the past four days, and "Waiting to Exhale" is one of my favorite movies. And that soundtrack... She was such an amazing, legendary human being, and her voice just brought so much to the music industry and inspired so many people. And when it happened on CNN and they were playing all of her videos and performances and everything, I was just like, "Wow, this career is just like... out of this world."

BUZZWORTHY: What can fans expect to hear on your new album?

CASSIE: My new album is just a little bit of stuff for everybody. On "King Of Hearts" I worked with a producer named J2, and it's got that jungle/dance/pop vibe. And then on what might be my second single I worked with Jean Baptiste [Black Eyed Peas, Rihanna] on a song called "Money On Love," and it's a little bit funkier. And then I also have my R&B ballads, and I have a ska record called "Mr. Valentine." It's kind of a little bit of everything, and that's who I am. I change my clothes five times a day!

BUZZWORTHY: What do you think is the biggest lesson you've learned working with Diddy?

CASSIE: To be patient. You know, your time comes when you're ready and the world is ready to see. He's always like, "When you're ready, they'll be ready." So, I'm finally ready.

BUZZWORTHY: Who are some of the artists you most want to collaborate with?

CASSIE: I would love to collaborate with SBTRKT! And I don't know who the artists are on it, but I've been listening to the "Drive" soundtrack. It's amazing! I loved the movie! The soundtrack is--anybody on there! I've been obsessed with it. Listening to it nonstop.

Taking a break from his New Edition tour, Bobby Brown was spotted back in L.A. spending quality time with his 2-year-old son Cassius and fiancée Alicia Etheridge.  It's the first time we've seen him after the hoopla he was involved in at Whitney Houston's funeral.

The fam was spotted dashing from one doctor's appointment to another getting their check-ups all at once.  A sudden tragedy could possibly make one take better care when it comes to certain things.

When asked if she was cheering for Jeremy Lin or her man Dwyane Wade at Thursday night's Knicks vs. Heat game, Gabby said she was definitely hoping Jeremy did well.  But, of course, she was rooting for the Heat to win.  She explained that Lin's story is so great because it's an example of opportunity meets preparedness.

She told a funny story about Ice Cube leveling her on the court during a previous all star celebrity game she played in.  And she dished about her new film that opened yesterday, Good Deeds.

And Clippers star Blake Griffin threw a few silver balls around.

Jim Jones is up to his old hood tricks again.  But to his defense, he didn't throw the first punch.  After a night of partying at Diddy's event at the MGM Grand at Foxwoods in Connecticut, the night ended with Jimmy getting maced and in cuffed.  Deets inside...

What's a Diddy party without cops showing up?  Reports just emerged saying "Ballin" rapper Jimmy Jones got into an altercation with a random ish talking guy who approached him at the Connecticut casino & resort.  Jimmy ignored him, but when dude hauled off and hit Jimmy in the face, all hell broke loose.

TMZ reports:

...A guy, who seemed intoxicated, came up to Jones and started talking smack to him, which Jones tried to ignore.

According to our sources, the guy then hit Jones in the face and Jones fought back in self defense. Then the guy's friends jumped in ... then Jim's people jumped in ... and IT WAS ON!!!

We're told Jones had no idea who the guy was or what triggered his beef with Jones.

Sources close to Jones say he was arrested and it took the aforementioned cops and mace to bring him in. We're told he has since bonded out and is headed back home soon.

Goodness.  In the wee hours of this morning, Jim took to his Twitter to say he's going to try to make his bond money back at the craps table:

After a rough season in 2011, NBA baller Caron Butler seems happy as pie to be with his fam in his new city, and with a brand new contract with the Los Angeles Clippers.

Baller Caron Butler now lives in L.A., so he was able to spend time with is whole family (who are still living in their old home in Centreville, VA so Andrea can finish her degree and oldest daughter can finish out the school year) during his time off during the all-star break. 

Caron, wife Andrea, daughters Mia (8), Ava (2), and youngest Gia were spotted grabbing lunch at a local Chipotle in Beverly Hills...with daddy pushing the double stroller.

He may have missed playing in the NBA Championship games with his Mavs teammates last year thanks to a last minute injury, but the Mavs ended up winning the title and Caron signed a big deal with the L.A. Clippers. 

His contract with the Clippers is 3 years, $24 million.  We'd be happy about that too...

By the way, Caron has 2 other kids who live in Racine, Wisconsin where he's from--a 12-year-old son Caron, Jr. and a 17-year-old daughter named Camary.

Before tonight's big game, parties popped off all over Orlando.  Miami HEAT guard Dwyane Wade (shown above with Gabrielle Union) and his Wade's World Foundation hosted a luncheon for their 5th Annual All-Star Weekend in Orlando, Florida.

Dwyane's foundation seeks to improve young lives in the local community and to encourage fathers to play an active role in the lives of their children.
 

Estelle attended the luncheon and supported Dwyane's foundation.

Also, Mr. Wade, in partnership with the Tangelo Park Program, unveiled two new basketball courts for Tangelo Park Elementary School that he refurbished with his foundation.

So much for looking forward to the utter perfectness that is Halle Berry on any given red carpet.  The Oscar winner has bailed last minute on her scheduled appearance tonight at the 84th Academy Awards.  Deets inside, plus Selita Ebanks' Oscar pre-show look...

Halle Berry has reportedly pulled put of her presenter duties at tonight's Academy Awards.  The gorgeous Dark Tide actress, who copped the Oscar for Best Actress back in 2002, cited her broken foot as her reason.  People Style Watch reports:

Berry injured herself while shooting Cloud Atlas in Spain in September. According to the movie's studio, Warner Bros., the accident occurred while "walking in Majorca on a day off from filming."

But it turns out there was a little more to the story. A source told PEOPLE at the time that Berry was chasing after her 3½-year-old daughter Nahla, who was chasing after a goat across a stretch of rocky countryside.

I mean...she has been hopping around in a cast for several months now.  It wasn't a new occurrence.  But alrighty.

The Awards will air live, tonight, from Hollywood's Kodak Theatre at 8:30 p.m. ET on ABC.

Oprah won the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Honorary Oscar Award.  So they discussed all the "good stuff" she's done and her first horrible time attending the Oscars back in 1986 when she was nominated for The Color Purple.

O revealed that she's considering returning to acting, that she did have to wait in line at the DMV, and that she confronts drivers who are texting.
