Now that the dust has settled, Kendrick Lamar has spoken to XXL about being snubbed by the Grammys.  But don't expect to hear any -ish talking.....

On Macklemore's success:

“It’s well deserved; he did what he did, man,” Kendrick said. “He went out there and hustled and grinded. Everything happens for a reason; the universe comes back around, that’s how it go.”

On being overlooked by the Grammys:

“I definitely feel like they should always have more of the culture up in there, for sure, because we definitely stand out just like any other genre,” Kendrick said when asked if he thought the Grammys undervalued hip-hop. “We part of the world. We part of the movement. So I think any awards, including the Grammys, should always push for more hip-hop because it’s music as a whole, it’s not just splitting different regions. Everything moves as far as sound and vibrations, and that’s how it goes. And we are a part of that.”

The Hollywood Reporter published a gorgeous pic from Clive Davis' legendary pre-Grammys party that featured Pharrell, Fantasia, Jennifer Hudson and T.I.  Speaking about the party, Fantasia said,"If you're not here, you're at the wrong party." T.I. added "This party is a staple. I believe it’s just as important and just as highbrow as the ceremony."

Shakira and Rihanna get very close in the video for “Can’t Remember to Forget You” (premiering tomorrow on VEVO).  Teasing its arrival, Shakira released two stills from the Joseph Kahn-directed clip.

Speaking about Rihanna's performance, Shakira said. “Her voice in this song is just unreal ’cause she is reggae. I don’t think I’ve ever heard a female singer deliver her lines in a reggae song with such authenticity. I’m just over the moon to know that we did a video together and we did this song together.”

We caught up with LaLa Anthony at her Barnes & Nobles book signing for The Love Playbook in NYC this week.  She locked down NBA baller Carmelo Anthony for the last 3 years, and the happily married couple has been together for over a decade. 

So we got her to serve up her own tea about sex, divorce, weddings vs. marriage, and what Melo thinks about it all....

5th and Mercer fashion designer and Baggage Claim actress LaLa is dishing up the real about love, marriage, sex, divorce and more.  And we got her to tell us some things she didn't put in her book.

After going through a public rough patch with her NBA husband, she's got some insight on when a couple should go the divorce route.  LaLa, who said she loves breaking stereotypes that say she can only have one career at a time, consulted her friends Ciara, Kim K., Kelly Rowland and her inner circle of friends for her relationship advice book.  So we may get a few nuggets in there.

Here's some things we just had to know:

On 'Game Time' -- Marriage vs. Wedding
"So many people want to get married for the idea of the wedding. You have this big wedding, you have all these people come and so many people are more concerned with the materialist part of it than the actual marriage. Of course when you get married you want to have someone witness the love and long lasting relationships but people are more concerned with the wedding. I say don’t forget about the marriage and what’s really important. Is there love there at the core of your relationship. Weddings are great but then everybody goes home and you’re still stuck with the person you married."

On whether she would go back and change anything about her wedding day?
"No, not at all. As long as you do things your way and you feel good about it that’s what ultimately matters at the end of the day. You’re not going to be able to please anyone. We talk about that in the book. You have to be able to look yourself in the mirror so I’m happy with the way I did the marriage and my wedding because I did it my way. I was talked about for being engaged for so long and then getting married but I’ve lasted longer in this relationship than a lot of people that were criticizing me. But at the end of the day I did it my way and that’s what I’m most happy about and I wouldn’t change anything. You know life is about learning. Some things are necessary so that you can learn and grow from it."

On being in a relationship where she felt like she was just dating the man to feel validated
"Yes - I definitely did that in my earlier relationships. I felt like without him I felt like I wasn’t whole, I wouldn’t make it and my whole purpose was all about him it was never about me. You know, what did he want to do and I started losing myself in that relationship and it was very dysfunctional and one day I woke up and I was like this isn’t healthy. Luckily I was able to get out of it and get past it." 

On who contributed advice for the book, besides mom and grandmom
"Well, you know my core group of friends. Dice, Po, Kelly, Ciara, Trina, Serena, Kim, you know Monica. My group of friends that I talk to, that I go to for advice. My day one friends too that some people may not know who they are. It’s great to have friends that you can go to when you need advice or when you need help. That was another thing that motivated me to write the book because I realized how many women out there don’t have a great circle of friends, don’t have a family so I kept thinking to myself who do they go to for answers."

On divorce and suggesting it for a couple
"You have to evaluate your situation. If that’s where you feel like, unfortunately, that’s where it’s going I would not encourage someone to stay in a relationship where they’re not happy. But have you done everything before you’ve gone through that final step? Have you tried therapy? Have you talked to your pastor? Have you talked to family? Have you talked to friends? Have you done everything and they say yes, who am I to encourage someone to stay in a relationship where they’re not happy. And I’ve seen people who have gone through a divorce and they come out stronger and find new love. You have to evaluate the situation. Not just for divorce but for break-ups, make sure you do all the necessary work before you just jump to that. You don’t want to throw that word around lightly. You want to do the right things before you get there and if you feel like that’s where it’s at then I would definitely support somebody in that."

On the celebrity couples she admires?
"I love Will Smith & Jada Pinkett. Through everything they’ve sustained. You can tell family’s most important. I love that about them. I love Jay Z & Beyonce. They’re role models. They just show that two people can have two amazing careers and be so successful but still come together as one and still have this great union and be great parents. And that’s what we do here. Kiyan is with one of us at all times, as he should be. He’s witnessing what’s going on. We’re not keeping him at home and not allowing him to experience this stuff."

On dishing motherhood tips to Ciara
"Well, you know she sees me with Kiyan and she spends a lot of time with him. She’s just such a great person and such a giving person that I know that will carry on to her being such a great mom. She’s going to be so great and she’s so excited and so happy. I see how she is with Kiyan and that’s just a small indication of what a great mom she’s going to be. Parenting doesn’t come with a manual – you just have to figure it out. But as long as you have love in your heart everything else falls into place. There’s no direction on what to do. Tips are great but as a mom you have to find your way and figure it out."

On motherhood
"Kiyan has changed my life. What is means to be a mom and basing your life around someone else. You know all my decisions, my work schedule to day to day stuff is based around Kiyan. The feeling of loving someone more than yourself is something I didn’t understand until I became a mom. Kiyan was at the book signing and it was important for me to have him there .I want to share this kind of thing with him. It’s important for him to see his mom working. I always want him to feel included and apart of it. And also get to see a strong mom working and putting something out there. And being able to see what a well rounded woman looks like."

On her ONE rule of sex
"Spice it up. Don't plan sex!"

On what Melo had to say about her writing a book on love and sex
"He was like I don’t know how you do all this stuff. He was like I don’t know how you have all this time. He knows I’m the person that my friends and family come to for advice and support so he thought it was a good idea. Just the idea of being able to help other people, he’s going to be supportive. It’s great for both of us. We’ve both been blessed to be in these great positions and if you’re not utilizing it what good is it? There were girls up there crying, literally crying, talking about things they were going through and how much they appreciate having someone like me to talk to and having a book to go to for insight. Those are the moments that matter. So my husband of course, is going to support me."

"Yesterday, Kelly was getting emotional because you realize how many people need people us and need a voice and are kind of lost out there and need help and don’t have people to turn to. So, of course, my husband was supportive of that. He couldn’t be at the book signing because he had a game but we had a little thing afterwards just for my friends and family and he came and we had a really good time and celebrating all the amazing things. We had a really good time. And a lot of my family was at the book signing. Everybody comes out to support and I never take for granted what a great support system I have with my family. My day flew in from overseas just for a few hours just to come to the book signing. That’s the kind of stuff I have to think about and be thankful for. I really am thankful. The book is number 1 right now. We’re just waiting to see if I’m on the Bestsellers list. I know what I felt yesterday in that room and if we can stay in this number 1 spot that would be amazing but I already feel accomplished just from yesterday."

On whether she'll go back to her hosting gig
"Here and there. I don’t really miss it because it really was taking over my time. Now it’s my acting career and producing which is something I love because it’s a challenge for me. It’s real, I’m still studying, I’m learning and I’m really enjoying it. With radio and hosting, I kind of feel like I can do it with my eyes close, it’s second nature to me. Now I’m stepping into something now that is a challenge and I’m learning so many new things. Acting has really taken over my time and my world now and I’m really, really enjoying it."
 

Her good friend Po also showed up at the book signing this week.  Next up for LaLa:  She's currently shooting a movie called November Rule executive produced by Queen Latifah, will appear on the new STARZ series "Power" with Omari Hardwick, and is starring in the upcoming flick Think Like A Man Too out June 20th.

Fresh off promoting her new philanthropic role with MAC on "GMA" yesterday morning, Rihanna partied it up at her launch party for the MAC Viva Glam Rihanna collection. 

She hit the MAC Soho store rocking metallic Louboutins, a sugarplum Lanvin Spring 2014 Metallic Blazer, a Lanvin Dream-Front metallic tee, and a royal blue Lanvin ruffled hem skirt for a fun yet luxe look.

She posed with Michel Sidibe Executive Director UNAIDS, John Dempsey, the President of MAC Cosmetics and Nancy Mahon, the Global executive director of the MAC AIDS Fund.  Her collection, which she's using to raise $40 million for a good cause, will take every penny of every sale and put it toward the MAC AIDS Fund.

The husbands of "RHOA" made their way to "Bethenny" to talk about their paychecks (or lack thereof), strip clubs and cheating.  Check out what Apollo Nida, Peter Thomas and Gregg Leakes had to say inside...

It's a shame Apollo didn't talk about his latest arrest (this could have been taped before it happened), but we did find out a few other nuggets.

"When asked how much the husbands of "RHOA" got paid, Apollo, Peter and Gregg revealed that they get paid zip, zero, zilch.  They said this is more of a "part time" gig where they get paid in perks and benefit."

And when asked if they are paying high price themselves for fame, Apollo said:

"I think so coming from prison, doing six years in prison and then being thrown into a TV show was kind of difficult and I think for the first time coming off I was very quiet and kind of shy, it was just a difficult transition for me."

So all of us thinking that they were AT LEAST getting a check from Bravo, even though no one seems to have an actual job, is actually a moot point.

And remember that discussion about the strip club at that pajama party from hell....well the men said they don't think hitting those places is cheating.  Gregg explained how he find his wife NeNe there:

I picked mine up, I tell it like it is baby....She used to work there and when I went there and saw her....I knew she used to do that but I didn't realize that's where you met her...That's not where I met her. She invited me to her job and I graciously accepted.

Oh.  Apollo's wife Phaedra joined in the convo and said:

Well anyone who knows me I represent some of the hottest adult entertainers in Atlanta and have been for almost twenty years now so I have no problems with it. I actually frequent them myself to visit my clients as well. Atlanta is really a strip club city. It's not considered sleazy in Atlanta to go to a strip club because it's probably 50/50 men and women there at all times as patrons, not as dancers.

All week long, VH1 has been gearing up for the Super Bowl with some of music's biggest stars hitting the stage for "VH1's Super Bowl Blitz". Already, we've seen Janelle Monae and J. Cole hit the stage, and last night, TLC performed at the Beacon Theater.

The concert series is hosted by Nick Cannon and Stacy Keibler and each concert will be streamed live in the VH1 App and made available at Super Bowl.VH1.com the following day.

Class is in session!  While Beyonce is getting criticized by a few folks (and called every "whore" style name in the book)  for her ultra sexy GRAMMYS performance...with her husband...she's abut to be the subject of a collegiate academic course.

Deets inside...

Beyonce Knowles Carter has been the subject of black feminism and feminism in general lately  She's spoken out about gender equality and equal pay, and people have had in depth debates about whether she is a true feminist or simply profiting off of sex appeal.

Now, college students will get the chance to debate all that and more and analyze the effects King Bey has had on our culture.

Rutgers University will offer a course called "Politicizing Beyonce", which will reportedly focus on the entertainer's career to "explore American race, gender and sexual politics."

Kevin Allred, a PhD student who lectures for the Department of Women's and Gender Studies at the New Brunswick, New Jersey college, will be teaching the course.  He explained:

"This isn't a course about Beyonce's political engagement or how many times she performed during President Obama's inauguration weekend."

It could be an interesting case study of a 32-year-old mother and wife who also balances being one of the biggest superstars in the world.

Bobbi Kris and Nick Gordon gave their first interview since revealing their secret nuptials.  They told EXTRA that they've grow closer...thanks to their critics!  More inside....

In their first joint interview since we learned about their marriage (via social media) Bobbi Kris and Nick Gordon talked to  EXTRA about the strength of their love and they haven't let naysayers tear them apart.  Nick explained, “It put a fire in us. It lit a fire up under our ass and we went haulin'. The critics can say whatever they want to say… it's like we have a force field and that s**t's just bouncing off of it.”  Here are highlights:

On how the "brother/sister" confusion started:

Nick: Me calling [Whitney] mom, this where everybody gets the…” Bobbi: Brother and sister…
Nick: We were young. Krissy looked at me as an older brother, and I looked at her as a little sister. She [Whitney] just treated me like she gave birth to me. She treated me like a son. Excuse me for saying this… she treated me better than my birth mother. I owe everything to her.

On what Whitney Houston told them:

Nick: She made me promise several times to look after Krissy… and, Mom, I will never ever, ever break that promise.
Bobbi: She wanted this. This is something she wanted to see.

On Cissy Houston:

Bobbi: She told both of us that she loved us very, very, very much, and Nick came up and he said ‘Grandma, I want to marry her. Is it okay? I need your blessing to do this, if I don’t have your blessing I won’t feel right,’ and she looked at him and she smiled. She smiled very wide and said, ‘Yes, son, you have my blessing.”

On Bobby Brown:

Bobbi: We have a relationship. It's a good one right now. At a point in time, we didn’t even have that… I love my father more than anything.

 

Also, we're happy to know that Bobbi Kris has her father back in her life.... 

But.....we're still uncertain about their conversations with Cissy Houston. You might chalk it up to old age, but Cissy says she NEVER gave her blessing!

Day 26 is back on the music scene and they've sat for an interview with "You Know I Got Soul" where they discussed their future plans and what brought them back together (hint: It wasn't Danity Kane). 

YouKnowIGotSoul: You guys are back together as once again with all 5 original members. What made it happen?

Willie: It all happened from a phone call that was for a tour to get back together. When we got on the phone, we all agreed to do the tour and then from conversations, we decided “Yo let’s get back together and make it happen.” It was really easy because I personally miss being on the stage with the guys and we felt a vibe even through conversations we were having on the phone, so it locked in from there.

YouKnowIGotSoul: Did all of you guys find that you missed being in a group?

Brian: Hell naw *Laughs*

Que: Well I miss being in a group. It’s been 4 years for me, so to get that phone call and to hear the guys excited to get back together, it was definitely like stress off my shoulder because I was focusing on a solo career. I was like “I can put that aside for a little bit and focus on my group.” I want to make this thing the hottest thing in America.

YouKnowIGotSoul: You guys also announced an upcoming tour. Talk about that.

Robert: We can’t release dates right now, but we are coming to a city near you. This will be one of the most epic reunions in the world. We’ve had a chance to grow as individuals and now that we’re put back together, it’s just musical. I can’t really say much about the tour, but we are coming to a city near you. Be there or be square. This is the most epic reunion ever.

Brian: It’s crazy that the fans are calling it epic.

YouKnowIGotSoul: Do you guys have plans for new music?

Willie: We definitely have a plan for some new music. We actually started getting in the studio now. We actually had a record before called “A New Day” but we scrapped a lot of that stuff because Que wasn’t in it. Naturally we’ll have a fresh start with it with the chemistry of us 5. It should be epic. It’s always epic being in the studio with these guys. They’re all amazing vocalists, so it’s an honor to be in a group with these guys.

YouKnowIGotSoul: Did Danity Kane’s reunion influence your decision at all?

Willie: Nah, not at all. We respect everything they’re doing. We are proud and happy that they’re getting back together again. Ours had nothing to do with theirs. Our thing was just off conversations and just talking about a tour. We are definitely happy to see them doing their thing, but ours wasn’t influenced by them.

The Braxtons stopped by "Bethenny" to dish on Towanda's friendship with Kordell Stewart, being compared to the Kardashians and Trina and Tamar learned to ride bikes!  Videos inside...

On an upcoming episode of "Bethenny", Tamar and Trina learned to ride bikes while Towanda (sorta) confirmed that she's dating Kordell Stewart.  When asked about Kordell and his ex-wife Porsha Williams, Towanda said,

"I don't either but what I'm saying is this…you don't know exactly what happened. I don't know what actually happened in their marriage, you know so that was just the one side of the situation. He wasn't on the show, she was on the show. She was telling her side of the situation. I don't know, I don't care. He's just a really nice guy to me and he's a great dad and quite often people don't understand that when you put everything tumultuously like that on television, it affects the children. "

Celebs are kicking off their weekends working and playing...and maybe both at the same time.  Pics of Zoe Saldana, Cam Newton and Wale inside...

We told you recently how Zoe Saldana was tapped to star in the new tv series "Rosemary's Baby".  And she's already started filming in Paris.  It looks like her character is wearing a prosthetic baby bump, which is part of the storyline.

The show will be a 4 hour mini series remake of the 1968 movie.

Over in NYC:

Panthers QB Cam Newton seemed too shy to face the cameras while making his way into his hotel...while hiding behind his backpack.  But he didn't seem to shy for the cameras earlier this morning:

While at the New York Stock Exchange today, he photobombed Tiger Woods' girlfriend Lindsay Vonn.  The two were on hand for Under Armour's big event, and since they are two of UA's biggest faces, he took it upon himself to hijack a pic or two.

Eva Marcille gave birth to a bouncing baby girl last night.  See the first pics of Eva and Kevin McCall holding their bundle of joy inside....

Baby Marley Rae McCall has arrived!  We've been following the pregnancy of fab couple Eva Marcille and Kevin McCall and we're happy to report that Eva successfully delivered a healthy baby girl yesterday. She tweeted, "She came out fighting the nurses. This is def our child lol thank you Jesus Christ for everything going decently and in order #amen."

It's obvious that the proud parents are already smitten.  They shared photos of themselves staring adoringly at Marley on Instagram.   Kevin tweeted, "Wow she has her mothers eyes never knew I could fall in love again @evamarcille #prouddad" I've never known a love like this".

Congrats to them both!

Tyrese's ex-wife says he'd rather party than spend time with their daughter!  Get the latest on their child custody war inside and find out what Lil Za got charged with....

Tyrese and his ex-wife Norma Mitchell are in the middle of a nasty child custody battle that's boiled down to a lot of finger-pointing.  You'll recall that Norma received a sizable alimony and child support settlement a few years ago, but now she and Tyrese have been butting heads about their daughter Shayla.

The latest set of court docs have Norma accusing Tyrese of ditching the 6-year-old to go party in Dubai for his 35th birthday with Maxwell and Will Smith.

Although Ty was originally slated to film scenes for "Fast & Furious 7", Norma says he should have had more time for Shayla following Paul Walker's death (because production was postponed).

Instead of spending time with Shayla, Norma's court docs say Ty was "gallivanting throughout Dubai ... staying in expensive hotels ... partying on yachts, sky-diving with other movie stars, driving expensive cars, and making special appearances in night clubs." SIDEBAR: It did look like he had a GREAT time!

For his part, Ty said he went to Dubai on business because he booked 4 paying gigs (to help out with that alimony!).  We'll keep you posted as their battle rages on.

In other legal woes.....

Justin Bieber's bestie Lil Za was charged with 3 felonies following the raid on the Bieb's mansion last week. The L.A. County D.A. has charged Za with 2 counts of felony possession of a controlled substance -- MDMA (Ecstasy) and Oxycodone and he's been charged with a felony for breaking the jail phone.

While Za is facing 9 years behind bars, Justin isn't doing much better himself. In addition to the mansion raid, he was arrested in Miami Beach, Fla., on DUI, resisting arrest, and driving with an expired license charges and he's been accused of hitting a limousine driver.
