A short visit to the county jail didn't dampen Chris Brown's party spirits as the "Love More" singer was spotted leaving an LA hotspot while being trailed by a mystery blonde. See the pics inside and his revelation about leaving the music insudtry....

After spending roughly 45-mins in jail yesterday when he turned himself in (regarding his hit-and-run charge), Chris Brown put his legal woes behind him and partied at LA hotspot AV last night.  As he walked to his Lamborghini Aventador sportscar, photographers snapped him with a mystery blonde who was also sharing the sidewalk.

We're pretty sure this "random" chick was just trying to have her picture taken when Chris walked by, seeing that dude spent a fun-filled weekend with his boo Karrueche Tran at the 2013 O. C. State Fair recently.  But, you never know....

What's next?  While Breezy's next court hearing for the hit-and-run is set for Aug. 15th, he still has to deal with the issue of his probation (in the Rihanna beating) being revoked! Bottom line.....don't expect him to go on tour with the X album (due August 20th) anytime soon.

In frightening news, Usher's 5-year-old son Usher V is now in the Intensive Care Unit after a pool accident yesterday evening.  Details inside...

While Usher's oldest son Usher V was at the singer's pool in Atlanta yesterday after 2p, reports state his hand got stuck in a pool drain that he was attempting to fish a toy from.  And the adults on the scene (Usher was not home)--the boy's aunt, the maid and a couple of house workers--had difficulty helping him to remove it.

TMZ reports:

Here's what we know ... The child was playing in the pool with his aunt and saw a toy in the drain. He dove down to get the toy and his arm got stuck in the drain. The aunt immediately dove in to rescue him but couldn't get his hand out. The maid then dove in and tried but was also unsuccessful.

The maid screamed for help. Two men working in the house came out, dove in and freed the boy. He was given CPR immediately and rushed to the hospital. Usher arrived and drove in the ambulance with his son.

Cinco is now in the ICU with Usher & his mother Tameka Raymond by his side.  But doctors have reportedly said he will be OK.

No word on if Cinco could swim or if he was submersed completely underwater during the ordeal as pool drains are usually half way in and out of the pool toward the top. 

We wish little Usher V a speedy & FULL recovery.

*UPDATE* According to the 9-1-1 call placed by Usher's aunt Rena, Cinco may have stopped breathing from almost drowning, but started breathing again after one of the AV system workers from inside the house admistered CPR.

As they prep for an October release, the duo talked exclusively with TheYBF.com on the L.A. set over the weekend about their sexy new 5-minute workout moves, their sex-filled calorie burning sessions, and why Kelly looks so damn good naked...if she does say so herself! Here are the highlights, and yes, even the flawless Ms. Rowland has days where she's not feeling beautiful:

On teaming up for video number two
JJ: The first [video] was received so well, now people want the additional “whole head-to-toe Kelly Rowland workout.” Here is where you get it! The first workout, we just focused on the abs. Have you seen this girl at the Grammy’s, the Oscars? I’m getting blown up with “I want Kelly Rowland’s arms, I want Kelly Rowland’s legs, and I want Kelly Rowland’s booty.” Did you not see her pop up on the stage at the Superbowl like bionic woman? Okay so, bottom line, if we didn’t do it (the video) people would be coming after me.

On the unconventional ways they burn calories
JJ: Kelly likes to have sex [laughter].
KR: I mean it always helps. I also play the "wii" with friends. We’re pretty much diving into the TV making sure we have a good time.

JJ: I just like to turn up. If we’re going to a concert or club or dinner I'm going to burn calories everywhere. I’m pretty much ‘Jeanette turn up.’ I’m going to add energy and burn calories that’s the way I do. I just like to turn up!

KR: All I need is a good workout and that's it. I take care of myself, take care of my skin and I watch what I’m eating.

On why Kelly likes working out with Jeanette
KR: She’s the person at 6 o' clock in the morning like “WAKE UP! YEAH!” But sometimes you do need that burst of energy.  You do need someone there that's motivating and helping you and that's what she does and that's why we've stuck together for so many years. I love her to death. She is completely inspiring--physically and mentally.

On what you get in the "Sexy Abs Cardio Sculpt" DVD
JJ: The great thing about the sexy abs cardio sculpt is that we have put it into 5 minute chapters. Really fun chapters. Each chapter has a signature move. If you’re a beginner or short on time, you only have to do 5 minutes or 10 minutes in 2 or 3 chapters. Anyone can do it and let it grow with you over time.

KR: You will definitely feel the burn. It's the most intense 5 minutes ever.

On Kelly's diet regimene
KR: I never like to say diet. I like to say eating clean. Listening to your body and knowing what your body responds well to. For me, its green vegetables or fish. I don’t feel like I’m heavy or weighed down and lethargic when I eat. Food should give you energy. My favorite thing right now is grilled pineapple with cinnamon.

Favorite food to have on cheat day?
KR: Cupcakes! Or anything with sugar or chocolate sauce.

Inspiration for those lazy days you don’t feel like getting out of bed
KR: I like what it feels like naked. I wanna look good naked. Everybody wants to look good naked. That's the goal.

On who wants to see Kelly naked?

On who has the hottest abs in Hollywood?
JJ: Kelly Rowland. Have you looked at her?!

KR: Jessica Biel.

On the most efficient workout to get you in tip top shape?
JJ: This workout. The cardio, the sculpting, and the focus core work. This is the exact prescription of workout style that I do with Kelly and other clients. We try to get as much in within an hour that we can. This is called ‘everything but the kitchen sink.’

JJ: For me it starts with the food. You are what you eat. When I really want to assure my skin is glowing, I make sure I'm drinking a lot of water and avoid sugar, dairy, and high fatty foods and then I get a glow.

On their favorite pick-me-up when feeling less than sexy?
KR: This is really corny but I like to listen to Snoop Dogg’s “Beautiful” and dance around my house. I do it for myself and then I think I’m cute again.

JJ: I feel the most beautiful when I take everything off and get back to nature. No makeup. No nothing. Just throw on some sweats and hang out at the beach or go for a hike or even do yoga or go to church. I like to bring everything back to the spirit. If I feel like that in any way, I like to bring everything back to my purpose in life and that makes me feel beautiful again.

What are people doing in Hollywood that you wish you could fix?
JJ: Looking in the mirror and not loving themselves. Stop doing that! Stop putting yourself down. I’ve worked with women who are bombshells that don’t love themselves. But it's not just them, it's the average girl at home. They need to look at the mirror and say look at the beauty that God created. Find something beautiful about yourself that you love. If it's your hips, thighs, your hair, skin...love it! Love yourself.

KR: You also need to be patient with yourself. Women look at a picture and they want that in an instant and to be honest, you have to pace yourself and take time.  You have to do everything it takes and dedicate yourself to a plan whether it's a meal plan, not a diet, or a workout plan. Be honest with yourself. Should I pick up this red drink full of sugar or should I pick up water or coconut water?

The long-awaited Winnie Mandela biopic, now titled Winnie Mandela, has a new US release date and official trailer.

Starring Jennifer Hudson and Terrence Howard, the Image Entertainment film will hit US theaters on September 6.  

Terrence, who also co-stars in Lee Daniels' The Butler, recently spoke out about the domestic violence reports involving his ex-wife Michelle Ghent.  He told Us Weeklyon the red carpet of Lee Daniels' The Butler red carpet last night about Michelle's accusations that he beat her during an argument recently:

"Unfortunately I've tried to help people and it's not necessarily in the same enlightened path, of trying to help themselves."

He adds, "I just wish the best for her, but as far as me harming somebody… I really can't harm a fly. It's completely against my spirit, but I'm so heartbroken, that you can see that doing it on a night like this is only for an attempt to try and hurt me."

Inside the mag, Michael reveals he may star in The Fantastic Four reboot and that he thinks auditions are very awkward.  

''Action auditions are the worst. You've got maybe two lines: 'What's up, dude? Die! Die! Die!' and you act like you're shooting somebody, and you've got a rolled-up script as a gun. It's the most awkward thing ever.''

Ha.  But we're sure he could pull it off.  Good to see Mr. Jordan, who also starred in Red Tails and on NBC's "Parenthood", get his due.

Tameka Raymond wasted no time in taking action in response to the most recent scare involving one of her & Usher's sons.  Check out why she filed for custody, plus Michelle Ghent's new picture proof showing bruises she claims came from Terrence Howard punching her....

After losing her son Kile just a year ago in a water related accident (a jet ski & tube freak accident), Tameka feels her two youngest sons' lives are now in danger after Usher V (pictured above) ended up in ICU after a pool accident at Usher's house.

Usher has primary full custody of the couple's two boys, Usher V and Naviyd, which he won after the divorce settlement and after Kile's death.

Now, Tameka is looking to reverse that after Cinco got his arm caught in the pool drain and had to be helped to breath again via CPR done by AV workers who were inside the house.  Today, Usher & Tameka were by Cinco's side in ICU and the doctors say he will be OK.  But Mama Tameka doesn't feel comfortable releasing the boys back into Usher's custody as the incident happened at the pool at his home.  Especially because she has beef with Usher's aunt who was supposed to be watching the boys.

TMZ reports:

Usher's ex-wife has just filed legal docs asking for an emergency hearing later this week ... to wrestle child custody away from him, on grounds he's creating a dangerous environment ... TMZ has learned.

Tameka Raymond filed the docs in Fulton County, Georgia, claiming Usher is abdicating his parental responsibilities by letting other people care for their 2 kids -- people who she claims are not on the ball.

Can't say we really blame her for filing these docs.  The aunt in question is also the person Tameka previously accused of letting a stalker into the house while Usher & Tameka were married.

And if you were wondering if Terrence Howard's ex wife was going to show some receipts with her story of allegedly getting beat down during a family vacay to Costa Rica with Terrence & his kids recently, she did.

TMZ obtained pics of Michelle Ghent showing her black eye and bruised arm that she claims all came at the fists of The Butler actor Terrence Howard.

Michelle did receive her temporary restraining order she filed for Tuesday in court, and she maintains Terrence threatened her with a knife and physically abused her during an argument.

Michelle Ghent alleges the brutality occurred during a trip last week to Costa Rica. She says the fight started after she told Terrence she had no interest in firing up a relationship with him -- they divorced in May.

Michelle says after Terrence hit her, he glared at her and walked over to a bedside table where he kept 2 curved knives -- 4-6 inches in length.

Michelle says she panicked and then pepper sprayed him. At that point she claims Terrence knocked her down and then kicked her repeatedly in the head.

In addition to the black eye, Michelle says she suffered contusions and swelling.

And, she says, he referred to a prior warning he had given her on a trip to Bora Bora -- threatening to kill her.
 

Well this explains where the pepper spray comes into play that Terrence says Michelle attacked him with FIRST.  he also maintains he never touched her.  But based on these images, someone did.  Michelle says it was Terrence and he sucker punched her dead in the face, grabbed her up by the arm and caused contusions and swelling after he also threw her up against a wall.

Sad situation.

Mariah Carey is co-starring in the upcoming buzz worthy flick Lee Daniels' The Butler.  And during the recent press conference, she detailed a racist act she suffered from during the Civil Rights era as a child of mixed heritage.

The entire cast of The Weinstein Company's Lee Daniels' The Butler was presentat the press conference at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel Monday in NYC.  And TheYBF.com was on hand to participate in the momentous event.

With big wigs like co-star Oprah giving their take on their own experiences during the Civil Rights era--the time period that the movie takes place during--it was Mariah's story that surprised many in the room.

When Oprah asked fellow co-star Yaya Alafia about a scene in the film where she gets spit on in her face, Mariah chimed in about her own real life experience.

The "#Beautiful" singer revealed that her Irish American mother was active in the Civil Rights movement, and that she, a young MiMi, was spit on as a young child while on the school bus.  MiMi revealed unexpectedly:

"That scene just Oprah, when you brought it up, I really had to thank you because that actually happened to me."

Oprah asked if she was actually spit on like in the film, and Mariah (dramatically) confirmed it happened in exactly the same way. 

"I know that people would be in shock or not want to believe or accept that, but it did happen.  So it's like, that right there was almost the deepest thing to me in the movie."

Mariah also discussed her biracial upbringing and the issues her family faced.  She revealed that her mother was the one who had to physically go to purchase their home.  Since her dad is black, they believed major issues would have surfaced had he gone himself, making it impossible to purchase.

Sounds like a few stars of the film can personally relate to certain unfortunate aspects of the powerful film.  So it's no surprise Oscar buzz is surrounding Forest Whitaker& Oprah Winfrey already.

"If We Had Your Eyes" singer Michelle Williams was spotted in New York City yesterday.

Michelle was snapped near the offices of Essence Magazine where she gave the folks a sneak peek at her upcoming musical project.  She tweeted, "#Repost from @essencemag!! I had a fabulous time sharing my new music with the Essence Family!! Thank you for sharing with me today @essencemag!!"

Pairing a turquoise dress with hot pink pumps, Michelle also stopped by the offices of Sirius records to give them a taste of what's next from her. She's already completed two music videos for the upcoming album, which should be hitting music shelves before the end of the year.

And at LAX......

 Academy Award winner Jennifer Hudson, who's starring in the new biopic Winnie Mandela with Terrence Howard (opening Sept. 6th) arrived looking very comfortable in a gray top, baggy harem pants and a pair of combat boots.

A few days ago, Jen was honored by VH1 at their 2013 Do Something! Awards  for her work with the Julian D. King Gift Foundation. She also hit the stage with J. Cole to performed “Crooked Smile”.  Nice!

Last night, Tamar Braxton appeared on "Chelsea Lately" with guest host Loni Love to talk about her new Love & War album (September 3rd), motherhood and their new talk show "The Real".  While discussing her recent pregnancy, Tamar joked that she conceived her child on a drunken night!  And while the conception may have been an accident, the birth was completely planned out.  Tamar joked that she got her hair done and wore diamonds.  Of COURSE she did.

On her diamond-studded delivery
I made sure that I had my hair and makeup done and I had diamonds on, because I really wanted to meet my son the right way. I didn’t want my hair all over the place. I don’t get that! Why does your hair need to be all over the place? It’s just pushing….

On naming her son Logan Vincent:
I never really wanted to have kids, but I said that if I adopted an Asian, I wanted to adopt an Asian girl and raise her like a black girl. And I was going to name her Disney. I said if I adopted a boy, he would have the initials LV like Louis Vuitton. So then, what happen [was] me and Vincent got real drunk one night and then we made a baby by mistake and then it was Logan Vincent – LV.

Oprah Winfrey has given her interesting take on the recent beef between Harry Belafonte & Jay-Z.  And you may be surprised about who she says is "right".

Oprah's close friends have been embroiled in hot topic issues lately.  So it's only natural the world would want to know her take as she has close personal relationships with these folks. 

While doing promo for The Butler, Lady O spoke to The Urban Daily about her good friends who are currently beefing, Harry Belafonte & Jay-Z. 

When asked if she would moderate a sit down between the two men, she said laughing:

"Oh wouldn't that be a great show. That's an "Oprah's Next Chapter"".

And when asked who's "right" in the war of public words taking place between Mr. Carter & Mr. Belafonte, Oprah drew a parallel with the clash of ideas in "The Butler" between father and son.  Cecil, the butler, and his pro-Black Power movement son were raised in two different eras and had different racial & human experiences and, therefore, fought "the fight" in two different ways.

Oprah concluded by saying:

So who's right, Harry Belafonte or Jay-Z?  Both are right.  For Harry Belafonte's day and his way of operating in the world and what was necessary in the marches and protests, and his way of warring and protesting.   His warrior, that was necessary for that time.  Jay-Z, does this through his music, his work and his art.  Also necessary.  Both are right.

And we've all been wondering what Oprah has to say about her good friend Paula Deen and her complete insensitivity toward the black community as of late.  From the N-word usage to the gross and disrespectful words she used within the past couple years to the black people who work with her (both caught on video and said in a deposition.

The 59-year-old told Entertainment Tonight:

"In the very first days I tried to reach her and then I decided to stay out of it as I saw it blowing up," Winfrey, 59, tells Entertainment Tonight. "In time she will be fine. For me, it all just felt kind of sad."

She said people need to let the dust settle before having a real conversation about racial relations in America.And she says she's suffered certain feelings of discrimination in the workplace, but hasn't suffered from it in her personal life in years:

"Nobody in their right mind is going to call me the N-word. You know, you see those fools on Twitter sometime say ridiculous things. But nobody in their right mind is going to do that to my face, because true racism is being able to have power over somebody else.  So that doesn't happen to me that way."

"It shows up for me if I'm in a boardroom or situations where I'm the only woman or I'm the only African American person within a hundred mile radius. I can see in the energy of the people there, they don't sense that I should be holding one of those seats. I can sense that. But I can never tell, 'Is it racism? Is it sexism?'"

Last night, Nicki Minaj threw a swanky party at The Supperclub in Hollywood.

The "Beez In The Trap" rapper rocked her usual curve hugging look -- an Alexander McQueen Stained Glass print dress and red Giuseppe Zanotti heels.

Nicki and her blonde bob wiggery graciously posed with fan who came out to support her.

And of course, most of the guests, including her alleged boo Scaff Beezy and Tyga, all sipped on Myx Moscato (which Nicki co-owns).

The Game was also there to party it up. 

And the fun times continue Thursday night as the YMCMB hosts Story nightclub in Miami.

I remember coming into this year thinking, “How am I going to cut through all these people and shine?” I’ve never been part of a year when so many legends are dropping projects. How am I going to be seen? I’m going to be like the kid waving in the background in the photo with all of his tall relatives. And, I guess, those were my initial thoughts, and not to say that I haven’t enjoyed some of the stuff that has come out this year, but it didn’t pan out the way I thought it was going to. I think I am going for it, to really establish what are murmurs or things being said quietly, “Um, I think that Drake might actually…” On September 17th I want people to be like, “Oh, we were right.”

Do I think that if I didn’t have, for lack of a better term, a unique look about me, if I was from somewhere in America and if I hadn’t been on a kids TV show [Degrassi: The Next Generation], would I be as famous? I don’t know, man. Honestly, I don’t think so. I was just some young kid on a TV show. And I haven’t become anything else while I’ve been in this position. It’s not like I got here and was like, “Oh, got to switch up my image.” I don’t wake up nervous. I feel like maybe a lot of these guys do. How old are you, really? What is your background, really? What have you really done in the drug game, in the thug game?

It’s tough for me. That’s a guy I can’t pretend not to like. He’s the guy to me, in a lot of ways. That’s Kanye West. But I’m also here to be the best. I’m here to surpass. I’m here to outdo. I’m ready for whatever with anybody.

I don’t even know who that is doing that or what that’s about. If that is her, I guess it’s a little weird and disturbing. It’s obviously a behavioral pattern that is way bigger than me. Whoever is behind it, whether it’s her or somebody else, they know people are paying attention so they keep it going.

Actor Shemar Moore has raised a few eyebrows with his own admission that "all Black" casts might alienate audiences.  Find out what he said about marketing his films inside and see what "The Real" co-host Adrienne Bailon said about getting her "Double D" breast implants removed....  

During an interview with "Shadow And Act" about his upcoming film"The Bounce Back", Shemar Moore talked opening up about self-financing the film through IndieGoGo (he raised $638,483) and he sparked some controversy when he talked about casting a non-Black actress as his co-star and why he explained why doesn't consider himself a "Black" actor.  Here are the highlights:

S&A:  Were you conflicted at all about your choice to cast a Latina actress as your love interest?

SM: Nadine Velazquez is just very talented and she showed support. She was a friend of a friend who said, "I like this story, I'd love to be a part of it." She did me a favor and we were able to shoot a little teaser. It's not to say that my love interest couldn't be black. We haven't shot the movie yet. I just know that Nadine is very passionate about it and I would love to have her in the movie. But I think love is blind. I'm half black, half white. So are we going to be mad at my mother and father for being together? I wouldn't have life without it.

I don't see myself as a "black actor," I'm just Shemar Moore the actor. I'm very proud to be black but I'm just as much black as I am white. But I want tell stories that everybody can relate to, so I don't care who's opposite me. If Halle Berry or Jada Pinkett Smith called and said, "I want to do a movie with you," I'd be right there because I believe in their talent.

S&A: Was marketing a consideration when it came to casting? It's been said that interracial couples in films attract a wider audience than black couples, especially overseas.

SM: If every character in the movie is black, it's going to be looked at as a black movie and that might alienate other people from going to see it. But we're very sensitive to representing all demographics and it's going to be a very mixed cast. Whoever fits the bill and can bring the noise.

It's great that Shemar is being honest....you can't fault him for that.  But doesn't it make you feel some kind of way that there's the belief that "Black Love" isn't marketable?

And on television.....

On tomorrow's episode of "The Real", actress/singer Adrienne Bailon will make jaws drop when she talks about her insecurities and why she got her breasts enlarged from an A cup to a Double D.  Yes....you heard right!  Check thrw some D's on 'em back when she was 19 and a Cheetah Girl

Of course, Adrienne no longer has "Double D" boobs.....and she explained why she had them removed.

Adrienne: Now what folks don’t know, I’m about to put myself on blast…I did the first “Cheetah Girls” movie. And I was 18 years old when I did the first one. And I had boobs, but I didn’t think they were big enough. I was like I did this little “Cheetah Girl” movie, this probably ain’t going to do nothing, let me go up the ante and get my sexy on. I had just turned 18. When you turn 18, I had been a little girl group for such a long time. You want to feel sexy and womanly. And I was like maybe I’ll get bigger boobs. So I did.

"At 19 years old I went and got breast implants and I went from one insecurity to another insecurity…I always had boobs, they just weren’t huge. By the way folks, got em done in Florida, in Miami. I asked for a B, I came out with aDouble D, OK?"

"I’m 4’11” maybe weighing 110 {pounds}. Like literally when I tell you, Double D breasts. And here goes the catch, we went to go do a second “Cheetah Girl” movie and Disney was like “We left her a ‘Cheetah Girl,’ she came back a porn star! What is going on here?”

....

"They were like the cleavage situation she has going on is out of control…it’s like the Jennifer Grey thing from “Dirty Dancing.” A lot of people know she got a nose job after “Dirty Dancing” and then didn’t work again for a really long time. Cause no one recognized her. So I did my first movie, came back the second movie with these huge breasts. And then I ended up getting them removed. I got my breast implants taken out because I looked crazy."

....

"I had a lift….these are mine and they are strapped in because they would be saluting my toes instead of the sun. But the day I have babies and I breastfeed, instead of throwing them over my shoulder, I will get breast implants again…."

She uber talented, bright eyed & bushy tailed, a hustler, and freakin' gorge.  All the qualities of a true YBF chick.  Condola Phylea Rashad has made her own name for herself starring in acclaimed Broadway productions where she showcases her sharp acting chops (her mom is THE tv mom of all tv moms so we're not surprised).  And the Tony nominee can belt out a tune or two as well.

The fab chick is already on her way to becoming a solid tv star after playing the starring role of "Shelby" in Lifetime's Emmy nominated Steel Magnolias, and she also had a role in NBC's shortlived "Smash".

After stealing the show in Broadway productions like Alicia Keys'Stick Fly and the currently running Trip To Bountiful, 26-year-old Condola is set to star in the upcoming Broadway production of Romeo & Juliet.

Actor Orlando Bloom has been tapped to play Romeo to Condola's Juliet.  And the two posed it up on a motorcycle in New York City today.  We're loving this already.

Academy Award nominee Queen Latifah covers the latest issue of "THR".  And looks 'simply beautiful'. Inside, the mag highlights her upcoming daytime talk show, looks at how her family helped mold her career and why she continues to avoid questions about her personal life.  See highlights inside.....

On September 16, media mogul Queen Latifah will make a heralded return to the daytime television market with The Queen Latifah Show.  Folks who tune into the Sony Pictures Television show will see Queen Latifah tap cover a mixture of celebrity interviews and human interest pieces....and she'll even sing!  But you shouldn't expect any revelations about her personal life.  

Holly Jacobs, executive vp syndication and reality programming at Sony Pictures Television said,

"It's her choice what she chooses to talk about....It doesn't feel relevant to me because we're just making a big, entertaining show and celebrating all of life. There's a difference between talking about one's personal life and one's point of view and perception of the world and how they see it. And I respect that people need to put boundaries to whatever they want to talk about."

But that doesn't mean the show will steer away from controversial topics.  The Queen Latifah Show has already been sold to 94 percent of the country and its host does not plan to miss out on polarizing issues.

When asked about the George Zimmerman verdict, Queen told THR,"I like that that trial brings up race and people's fears. But I don't necessarily need to sensationalize it. I would like to find a more interesting way to talk about it without trivializing it."

Elsewhere in the article, Queen talks about the death of her beloved brother, keeping her personal life "personal" and how she feels about the growing number of Black talk show hosts.  Here are the highlights:

On the death of her brother:

"I know what it is to really lose someone, and the devastation that it causes and the confusion and the helplessness and the desperation and utter grief. There's nothing closer to me than my brother. That was my foundation. Mommy, Daddy, my brother, from the moment I was born, they were in my life. But I also know some of the little things that can trigger your emotions. You may smell something that reminds you of that person, and it will just flood all of these emotions through you. And it just comes back and you don't even expect it. Sometimes it's not only the big knock-you-over-the-head things, it's the subtle things."

On how she learned to control her destiny:

"Poverty will do that. When you want something that you can't afford, you do what you have to do. Our goal was to use our creativity to turn it into a business that would change the circumstances of our families. For Shakim and me, once we did it, we realized we were really good at it. We could do this all day. Business is fun. Controlling your own destiny is fun. Creating an idea and turning it into a movie; finding an artist and guiding their career and bringing them to some type of status -- there's joy in that. We didn't go to college. But we're smart people. We're hustlers, we're definitely going to get it done. But we also know where we came from. Nobody wants to go back there. We love the 'hood, but nobody wants to go back who makes it out."

On if there are too many Black talk show hosts:

Absolutely not. There's a reason that Steve Harvey is succeeding. He has a huge fan base. I listen to him on the radio. I watch him on Family Feud. Wendy Williams was a big-time radio host. And that's an underserved market. You'd need about 10 African-American hosts on TV for it to be saturated, but we're nowhere near that."

On sexuality: "That's mine. For me"
“I don’t feel the need to discuss my private life on this show or any other show,” Latifah says. “There’s the part of my life that the public and I share together. And there’s the part that’s mine to keep for myself. And that’s mine. For me.”

On bringing positivity to television:
“I have to be realistic about what I can and can’t do,” Latifah says. “So whatever I do has to really be worth it. I like to master the things I do. Making this show great, that’s my focus right now. I want to bring some positivity to daytime TV.”

On mastering the art of television

Nicki Minaj took to her Instagram today to exhibit more thirst boobs than usual for her Barbs.  Check out the attention grabby pic, which could also be called a late night snack, inside...

Well, Ms. Minaj clearly wants us to pay attention to her bare naked boobs.  So that's what we'll do.

The "I'm Out" rapper posted a topless pic with only her black wig covering her areolas.  And she only captioned it with a "fist pound" symbol when posting.

Not sure what made Nicki want to show us her boobs any more than she already does--outside of the obvious--but we do know she recently had some harsh words for another rapper.

At her MYX Moscato party last night at the Supperclub in Hollywood, Nicki was caught by a paprazzo who asked her about some rapper named Ransom who allegedly made a song about POSSIBLY ghost writing for her before she rose to fame.

Well this was unexpected.  Beyonce Knowles is giving us a brand new image.  And it involves a super short haircut.  Yep....the Queen of all Wiggery has tossed the long locks hair and the title to opt for a fresh coiffed look.

She's a Grown Woman....so she's gonna do what she wants.  And apparently, the 31-year-old superstar wants to end her summer on a short, easy breezy note.

After wrapping the first leg of her Mrs. Carter Show Tour this past Monday in Brooklyn, Beyonce must have wanted a fresh new look to go with her several weeks of freedom before she starts back touring.  Because she popped up in pics and at an event in NYC with a fresh pixie cut.

For the last 17 years she's been in this business, we've never seen her without a head full off long locks, mainly blonde but sometimes dark.  But for her Etta James role in Cadillac Records, she did rock a short wig.  As well as in her video for "Countdown".

It's not clear if THIS is a wig as well and she's just trying a fun new look, or if she actually cut her real hair into this new style.  We'll know sooner or later.

But either way, she's giving us some new ish.
