Following her emotional tour stop through Washington, D.C., Kelly Rowland talked with 93.9 WKYS about her tearful rendition of "Dirty Laundry", her sisterly bond with Beyonce and Michelle and how she finds sexual empowerment through her songs.  Watch the interview inside...

It's going to be a big summer for Kelly Rowland and her "Rowland Stones" fan club.  Between her new role on "X-Factor", a highly anticipated appearance at the GMA Concert Series (June 19th), the release of Talk A Good Game (June 18th) and the summer tour with The-Dream, we'll all have our fill of Miss Kelly.  

After her concert performance in D.C. where she broke down during "Dirty Laundry", the "Kisses Down Low" singer chatted it up on 93.9 WKYS about her album, her bond with her Destiny's Child bandmates and what it felt like to be vulnerable before to her audience.  And no, we don't feel like she was acting.

Here are the highlights: 

On "Talk A Good Game"

The album takes you on a journey through my thoughts.  It's me being very open...which for a second, was a little hard on certain songs.  I remember for "Dirty Laundry", I was saying I didn't want to put that on the album.  It was a form of therapy.  You're supposed to grow and learn from it.  

On what Beyonce thought of "Dirty Laundry"

It was the place that I was in...I was so young.  My head was completely gone.  That's what happened with my sister.  What matters to me most is what we have.  I'm so grateful for what we have as sisters...away from Destiny's Child.  I played it ("Dirty Laundry") for her and Michelle.  Beyonce said, "I never left".

On breaking down during "Dirty Laundry"

It's really weird when you take yourself in front of a crowd.  Even in that moment of when I put my feet up, I felt like I was in therapy.  I was singing and talking about what happened, and for a moment, it was like that crowd wasn't even there.  And then when the music stopped...I was like "You are live Kel.  Calm down."  And I had to calm down, and then I had to breathe.  You get lost...and it's nothing wrong with getting lost.  But that was weird.  I felt like I could do that with D.C.  

On being empowered sexually through song

I felt empowered. And the first time I had a moment like that was with Rico Love ("Motivation)".  Singing the song just made you feel womanly.  

On signing to "X-Factor"

Yes. I'm doing X-Factor.  When I did it in the UK...I really enjoyed that process.  I enjoyed the auditioning process, I enjoy watching the artists' development.  Because I went through that phase.  And you want to be there....You want to be a voice of reason or knowledge.  I think it's important to be honest and give constructive criticism.  I'm not a dream crusher.

Oh, hello ladies.  Fresh off Kelly Rowland's upcoming Talk A Good Game album, the sexy singer has tapped her two besties, Beyonce & Michelle, to appear on the likely new single.  It's called "You'Ve Changed" and a snippet popped up on Soundcloud today.

The track gives up a "Girl" vibe with the harmonic melodies, uptempo soulful song about why a man won't continue to do them wrong.  The trio reportedly didn't record it together in a studio, but thanks to good production, their voices are all meshed together fabulously.

Kel told Billboard in a recent interview about leading the track:

“It’s not a Destiny’s Child track, it’s me featuring Beyoncé and Michelle.”

And take the lead she does. And we're loving it.  Check it out above.

In other music news, Kendrick Lamar is giving his hit single "B*tch Don't Kill My Vibe" another push.  He tapped Scottish songstress Emeli Sande for the remix after she tapped him for her own "Next To Me" track that was released in February.  

By the way, the two performed this live earlier this month at Footaction's Own The Stage event in Brooklyn.  Check out the official International Remix below.  You won't be disappointed.  It's an eargasm for music lovers who love a good surprise collabo.

Nicki Minaj appeared on Hot 97 this morning where she confronted Peter Rosenberg, the on-air host whose comments about "Starship" caused YMCMB head honcho to ixnay Nicki from performing last minute at last year's Summer Jam.  Watch the video inside...

During the summer of 2012, Hot 97 disc jockety Peter Rosenberg challenged the biggest female star in the hip hop music business (yeah it pains us to say it too), Nicki Minaj, when he dissed her for making a pop record.  Well, he said it's a BAD pop record.  Though he didn't know he was being recorded, the outspoken radio personality told thousands of New Yorkers, gathered at Summer Jam, "We about that real hip-hop, not ‘Starships.’” His rant, which would quickly go viral and piss off thousands (if not MILLIONS) of Nicki Manaj fans, put his tail between his legs this morning in his first on-air interview with the head Barb.

In what amounted to a half hour apology (Hot 97 IS pushing their upcoming Summer Jam extra hard these days so we call this "promo"), Peter explained his side of the story. Nicki, looking slight annoyed, very bluntly said, "It cool.  It's water under the bridge. It's so long ago I can't even act like I care."  Bloop.

Nicki told Hot 97 program director Ebro Darden, who stays in the mix of ish, "In hindsight I should have just done the show. I wish I would have come out . I apologize [to the fans] for not doing the show."

And to explain why she was so taken aback by Peter's comments, she told him, "I don't know your resume.  I never found you funny.  I never found you entertaining.  I never found you smart .  I just found you annoying....To me it was like, who are you?  You don't have enough of a resume to make those comments."  Bloop bloop.

After another apology from Peter, Nicki was asked if she's ever been guilty of being a diva or tough?  Nicki shot back, "Is Wayne tough?  I handle my business.  And also...I speak up for myself.  If I was not like this, so many people would have taken advantage of me....People try to make such a big deal out of when a woman stands up for herself. Why? I see people walk on egg shells around Wayne."

We gotta agree with her there.  The double standards for strong women in business period are very real.

Nicki explained that she grew up watching her abusive father take advantage of her mother and that made her decide, at a young age, that she's always going to stand up for herself and would not let men take advantage of her.

Beyonce was captured threatening an overzealous fan who slapped her backside during a recent performance in Denmark. Watch the booty slap video inside and see Mrs. Carter put the young man in his place....

During last night's show in Copenhagen, Denmark, one bold fan dared to place his hand on Mrs. Carter's ass!  Yes, we always say (personally) we'd snatch her wig off her head if she twirls it in our face during a concert to keep as a souvenir...but damn, this dude really went for the kill.

As Beyonce walked into the crowd, allowing fans to sing "Irreplaceable",  one dude took his"turn a little too far as he proceeded to slap Beyonce's booty as she turned away.  Baddie Bey immediately checked his ass, giving him a stern look and said 'I will have you escorted out right now, alright?'

Lucky for him....Julian and co. didn't put paws on him.  After the encounter, Beyonce continued the show without further incident.  Consummate professional as usual.

After additional tour stops in Sweden and Antwerp this week, Bey will headline GUCCI's Chime For Change Concert (which she spearheaded with Salma Hayek) on Saturday.

Let the basic games begin.  On last night's episode of "Love & Hip Hop Atlanta," we saw MiMi Faust entering the combat zone on the set of her man Nikko's new video "NY 2 LA".  And the battle was over K.Michelle (who was there to supposedly be in the video too) and Nikko's rap "partner" Johnny and their alleged down-lowness.

We've got the fight and the actual foolywang material that is the finished video product inside...

Where to begin...

Nikko, MiMi's man we still raise an eyebrow at with wonder & many questions, really went and dropped this video for his and his homie Johnny's song for "NY 2 LA."  We still don't know who these guys are or who they think they are, but the description of the video reads:

NY 2 LA is a Rap pop, soul Smash!!!! Produced by Nikko & Written by Nikko & Johnny this is a Novelty record that will have you singing it & loving it LETS FLY.....

K.Michelle and co-star/friend Ariane really dodged a bullet by not appearing in this video.  Because the basicness is at an all time high.  For some reason, we continue to hold out hope that MiMi will end her reign as Queen of Patheticness (but we REALLY want to like her!) and wake up and smell the GLBT coffee.  But she clearly didn't (and still hasn't since she recently posted a pic of her and Nikko at her charity event saying they're still together).

In the above foolishness, we see Nikko and Johnny acting like pilots while Diddy bop'ing all in the airplane hangar and on the tarmac.  And as we watch, we keep saying under our breath, "Please don't let MiMi actually appear, please say she changed her mind last minute". 

This chick not only appears, but comes out like 'BAM.....I'm the sh*t in this video.'

Deep sigh.  We're not really sure what anyone involved was going for here, but MiMi apparently feels like THAT CHICK for being asked to play the lead in her man Nikko's video.  And by "lead", we mean the chick who shows a sliver of her face while hopping out a car and dancing in the background on the tarmac in front of a (real or not real) private jet.

Peep the video above for yourselves.  But after seeing it, you'll understand why K.Michelle felt the need to pop off on Nikko, Johnny and eventually MiMi on last night's episode about this very shoot:

Last night's fight scene drama: While MiMi got her hair done at a conference room table, K. and Ariane revealed that they know people... who know people...who know that Johnny is indeed gay.  Which means they believe he's on the down low and acting like he likes women...and they're not feeling that.

MiMi cut hard for Johnny saying, "I've only seen hm with bad bishes and he's not gay."  Alrighty then.

The conversation soon turned into a war--with K. accusing Nikko of being gay himself.  She said, “You have a roommate in Atlanta. Rent is not that high boo boo in Atlanta.  You have a roomate for $1000 rent?  This is not New York.  GTFOH.”

Now that it appears that her relationship with her baby father, fellow "LAHH ATL" star Lil' Scrappy is over (or is it really since she was holding hands with him last month as he made his way to jail?), Erica Dixon is putting the world on notice that she's sexy and single.

We always said this girl had model potential, but we weren't necessarily talking about BOOTY model.  A bit disappointing, but we admit, she's a hottie.

And with Lil' Scrappy still dealing with legal issues and an addiction to marijuana, it looks like Erica MAY have bailed on the relationship at the right time.

In the latest issue of KONTROL Magazine, child star turned grown actress Keke Palmer covers the "Passport To Style" issue where she dons sexy looks from the “Kontrol the Runway” designer competition winner, Rachel Mills.

In her cover story, the fab chick revealed her latest "boss" move in Hollywood, a leading role in Full Circle, a new DirectTV drama.  

According to the HuffPost, Full Circle "...aims to examine "the human condition and relationships through a series of conversations between 11 people,...whose lives are intertwined, unbeknownst to them." 

Here's the DirecTV synopsis:

Legendary rapstress Lil' Kim was spotted partying backstage at Club Fur in Washington, DC this past Memorial Day weekend. The duo (both sporting jet black locks--a change up for the usually blonde Tiffany) were in town to celebrate Pride Weekend. Also, Tiffany promoted her newly released mixtape Goal Diggers. 

And while the Queen Bee is reportedly back in the studio working on new music, her frenemy Nicki Minaj recently paid Kim a compliment on NYC's Hot 97.  When asked about beef and her favorite rappers, she said 

"I don't have beef with anybody - let me just say that...My favorites are Foxy, Kim and then Remy - they were all from New York. It's no disrespect to any other female rappers, but those are the ones I felt like, 'Oh, OK - I could get into that'. They sounded like me when I spoke and I just thought they really made an impact."

 Wow...that's a big change from a few years ago.   She also shouted out folks like Missy. Maybe...just maybe...our darling Nicki has made a change for the (grown up) better...

While sporting a new black and white 'do that could rival the infamous dalmatian meanie, the always fabulously eclectic Kelis was spotted leaving Whiskey Mist nightclub with a female friend in London last night.

The ex-Mrs. Nasir Jones has been spending a lot of time in the UK, working on her upcoming LP, FOOD, which is set for a September release. Because she's always been a bigger star in the UK, it makes sense that she's recently listed her swanky Chelsea pad in NYC for $2.2 Million.

It's a bitter birthday week for Andre 3000.  The rapper we all love lost his mother just one day after his 38th birthday.  Details and the official announcement inside...

Outkast rapper, actor & solo rapper Andre 3000 is mourning the death of his mother, Sharon Benjamin-Hodo.  She reportedly died yesterday (Tuesday), one day after Andre celebrated his 38th birthday (Monday).

The Assosciated Press reported today:

Andre 3000's mother died in her sleep early Tuesday at her Georgia home, a representative for the rapper at the firm Sunshine Sachs said Wednesday. Sharon Benjamin-Hodo was 58.

She died in Rex, Ga. No other details were provided.

Benjamin-Hodo was the founder of The Starlight Camp, a program that supports underprivileged children. It is part of the New Morning Light Missionary Baptist Church in Conley, Ga. She is survived by her husband, Robert Hodo, who is the church's pastor.

Pastor Jamil V. Willis of Atlanta tweeted the news about of his good friend saying:

"I just received a very disturbing phone call that Lady Sharon Benjamin Hodo passed away moments ago in her sleep."

Such sad and unexpected news for Andre.  He and his family will remain in our prayers.

Pop star Usher confirmed his return to "The Voice" will Ellen Degeneres. Get the deets on his return inside and see why Will Smith says he and his family are not like the fame-seeking Kardashians.

During an appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" Usher answered the question many in the tv industry have been posing, "Will he return to "The Voice"? When asked about his status as a judge on the hit program, he told Ellen,‘I plan on coming back.’

But in the meantime, he revealed that he's focusing on his role as boxer Sugar Ray Leonard in the upcoming film Hands of Stone.

Ellen also questioned him about his troubled protege, Justin Bieber. When asked about the young pop star's woes, Usher said,

"...I think all of us in some way have humble beginnings that pan out to be incredible and we hope...that he’ll continue to just mature but you know in this days age of social media. There is no privacy and that kind of trail and elimination period is kind of done in front of a camera. I am hoping for the best. I don’t look at as a negative though. I look at it as a teenager. A teenager having to live his life in front of a camera. Imagine if you had to do that as a teenager."

When asked if he remains in contact with Justin, he told Ellen, ‘Obviously when I can be of help I do so. Reach out and stay connected.’  Maybe he should reach out and take Justin's toys (meaning his cars and segways) from him too.

In other entertainment news.....

Awww like daddy like son.

In an interview with NY Magazine to promote After Earth, his upcoming action film with son Jaden Smith, Will Smith seemed to take issue with a comparison being drawn between the Smiths and the Kardashians.  Though both families are very friendly, with both Willow and Jaden spotted hanging out with the younger siblings of the Kardashian clan, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, Will explained that the Smiths don't seek out fame. 

"For our family, the entire structure of our life, our home, our business relationships—the entire purpose is for everyone to be able to create in a way that makes them happy.

'Fame is almost an inconsequential by-product of what we’re really trying to accomplish,' explained the Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air star.
'We are trying to put great things into the world, we’re trying to have fun, and we’re trying to become the greatest versions of ourselves in the process of doing things we love.  So the idea of fame or exploitation or orchestrating the media is sometimes even less than desirable for us."

So that clearly means we'll never see the Smiths doing a reality show!  But he doesn't mindthe kids being beasties with the likes of the Kardashian-Jenner clan.  And for people who think that Will and Jada are pushing the younger Smiths towards careers in Hollywood...he says that's not true.

'It may seem like we have pushed our kids into the business, but that is absolutely insane,' he said. 'I would never, ever, push somebody to have their face on a poster that’s going be everywhere in the world."

K. Michelle dropped a video for "Half Of It", a track that may or may not appear on her upcoming Rebellious Soul disc. See her rendition of the Rihanna track inside...

In anticipation of her upcoming Rebellious Soul disc (July 30th), reality tv songstress K. Michelle follows up"V.S.O.P" with another buzz-worthy track, "Half Of It".  The song is actually an Emeli Sande-penned "Half of Me" track from Rihanna's Unapologetic album, but in her version, K. Michelle takes a few liberties and makes it her "own" story.

In the video, fans take a peek at K. Michelle's life behind the scenes including studio nights, sold out concerts and photoshoots.  In a statement to Singersroom, K. Michelle said she's ready to put the past behind her and move forward with her music.  "I’m really at a point in my life where I wanna work on myself and just be happy. I don’t want any drama. I just want to create that music that makes you feel so good.”

She also announced that Rebellious Soul will feature collabos with R. Kelly and Elle Varner.

Going through a messy public divorce can be pretty stressful, so former NFL star Kordell Stewart packed his bags and headed over to Hawaii for a little relaxation. See his photos inside and get the latest deets on his divorce from Porsha Williams.

While his legal team fights to keep his estranged wife, Porsha Williams, out of his pockets AND  their marital home, former NFL star Kordell Stewart took some time to watch the sunset in Hawaii yesterday. Earlier in the day, he was spotted exercising in the park in a  Colorado Football shirt. 

But while Kordell was dealing with his marital woes in the pretty Pacific, Porsha chose to celebrate "love" by attending the wedding of her friend Miko Grimes. She posted several "happy" pics of the festivities, including a "twerk" session at the reception.  

We're sure the ex-couple will be back in court this summer to sort out the rest of their differences.  We'll keep you posted.

LisaRaye is hitting the stripper pole again...but it ain't The Player's Club.  Watch the trailer for Lapdance, a new stripper film reuniting LisaRaye with her former "Single Ladies" co-star Stacey Dash and more inside.

Fans of the legendary classic, The Player's Club, (don't act like you don't stp everything to watch everytime that mug comes on) will be pleased to learn that LisaRaye's days of "stripping" aren't over!  Coming this summer,  the "Single Ladies" bombshell is among the stars of the upcoming film Lapdance,  alongside Stacey Dash (her former "Single Ladies" co-star), Lynn Whitfield, K.D. Aubert, and Carmen Electra.  According to Carlton Jordan, the film is about... 

"An aspiring actress makes a pact with her fiance to take a job as an exotic dancer to care for her cancer stricken father. Once the pact the couple made is broken, there lives are changed forever."

Though LisaRaye looks good in the trailer, we can only wonder why she's still doing movies like this.  While a steady paycheck might be one answer, we'd love to see what her alleged boyfriend,Bishop Noel Jones, thinks about a "potential" First Lady taking it off for the camera. Maybe we'll see "that" discussion on their new reality show.... 

The film (formerly titled "Monica") is based on a story by Datari Turner (who also stars in the film) and director Greg Carter.   Lapdance will screen at this year's ABFF Film festival in Miami in June.  Of course.

In the latest issue of ROLLING OUT, Eve opens up about the backlash she got for dating outside her race, reveals her thoughts on female rap feuds and shares her thoughts on DMX and his substance abuse woes.  See the highlights inside...

Though Eve's latest album, Liplock, wasn't released with the fanfare of her previous recordings, the rapstress' return is marked by an openness about her career, her love life and her thoughts on the industry.  

For the latest issue of ROLLING OUT, she opens up about her love life with millionaire MaxAMillion and questions the hate she received for daring to date outside her race.  She pointedly asks, ""Would you rather me date someone, like my ex [Stevie J], just because he’s black? Or would you rather me be happy?"  

She also talked about rap beefs (mainly among the females) and revealed her close relationship to rapper DMX. Here are the highlights:

On Why Women Should Look At Themselves When Dating:

"My perspective on men has definitely changed,” she admits. "I’ve dated some ridiculous dudes. For women, if you are frustrated and keep attracting the same type of dude over and over again, it is not the dude, it is you. That is something I had to learn. I needed to figure out who I was and what I wanted before I attracted the guy I needed to be with.”

On Interracial Dating:

"I never thought I would date outside of my race,” Eve admits. "I never thought it would seriously be something that I considered because of where we come from. Interracial dating is still not as prevalent in our community. But when I met him, it was something that was so familiar. We recognize each other in a deeper way. If somebody is treating me the way I’m supposed to be treated, who cares what race he happens to be? It took a while for us to get comfortable, but when things got serious, we went for it. When we first started having pictures taken of us, I got so many negative tweets. It shocked me. I wondered where all of that hatred was coming from. It annoys me because America is a great country. But there are a lot of hypocrites. Would you rather me date someone, like my ex [Stevie J], just because he’s black? Or would you rather me be happy?

On Nicki Minaj and Azealia Banks:

"I’m not everyone’s cup of tea and Nicki’s not everyone’s cup of tea,” she says. ”That’s life. You’re not going to listen to every single artist that comes out. But obviously, Nicki has a huge fan base and she’s doing her thing. So what does one person’s opinion mean? I think people just take stuff too far. Some of the new girls that are coming up are dope. Azealia Banks has a lot of cute wordplay. It’s a new generation and it’s cool with me.”

On DMX's Issues with Substance Abuse:

”DMX is my dog,” She says. "He’s the most special person I’ve ever met, honestly. It’s unfortunate that he’s going through those things. The last time I saw him was when we did the BET Hip-Hop Awards cypher. Anytime that I spend with him and get to talk with him is the best. But X is X. If you know him, you can’t tell him anything and you can’t suggest anything, X is going to do whatever he wants to do. But I’m sure he’ll get better. That’s just his process.”

The whole Smith family clan--Will, Jaden, Trey, Jada & Willow--was in full force last night to support Papa Will& son Jaden's new sci-fi flick After Earth.  Check out the fab fam, plus all heir celeb friends who came out to support inside...

It's all about the Smith boys this week as they release their newest flick together After Earth.  The premiere went down in NYC last night at Ziegfeld Theater.

Pops and son are pros at the promo gigs since thie isn't their first film together. After starring in the big film The Pursuit Of Happyness--as father and son in that one as well--the pros are back at it on the carpet for their next collabo film.

Will & Jaden chatted up the press, including AJ at "Extra".  And Jaden kept it cool in an all white look.

Mom Jada rocked a cute floral Blumarine dress with caged Azzedine Alaia sandals we're drooling over.  Daughter Willow look cute and age appropriate.

Will's on-screen wife from Independence Day, Vivica Fox, came out to support her long time friend:

Will's on screen cousin and real life good friend Alfonso Ribeiro was there with his new wife Angela.  The couple announced earlier this month that they're expecting!

And AJ Calloway was there with his pregnant fiancee Dionne Walker.

Giants baller Victor Cruz hit up the carpet with his baby moms, girlfriend Elaina.

And of course, DJ Jazzy Jeff and his wife were there to support his long time bestie the Fresh Prince of Bel Air.

Wyclef brought his wife and daughter.  How cute is she!

And Spike Lee brought his wife Tonya and their kids as well.
