YBF Chick Raven Symone just landed a new gig.  And this one's on Broadway!  Get the deets inside, plus Tyler Perry's eyebrow-raising casting decision for his new movie, Madea's Witness Protection...

Raven's bringing her animated and "extra" personality and voice to the big stage again.  The 26-year-old was just cast as the lead role in Broadway's adaptation of the musical Sister Act, which opened last April.  Deadline reports she's taking over as the new Deloris Van Cartier, the role originated on the silver screen by Whoopi Goldberg.  Raven starts rehearsals in February and takes the stage the end of March at the Broadway Theater.  Congrats to her!

Fun fact: Raven made her Broadway debut when she was 5...singing with the Boys Choir of Harlem.

Speaking of youngins landing big roles, 22-year-old Romeo Miller (son of Master P and co-star of Jumping The Broom) was just cast as the co-lead in Tyler Perry's umpteenth Madea movie.

The former "Dancing With The Stars" cutie will star in Madea's Witness Protection--Tyler's fourth movie of 2012 (and 14th movie in 7 years).  That man Mr. Perry does not quit.

And since Tyler is good for casting folks we haven't seen in a while, he's brought on Marla Gibbs ("227"), John Amos ("Good Times"), Eugene Levy (American Pie), Denise Richards, and Tom Arnold.

The synopsis of the movie:

Eugene Levy stars in the film as George, a high level CFO at the center of a Ponzi scheme in New York City who is enrolled in the Witness Protection program along with his family in the one place that absolutely no one will think to look for them: Madea's house down South.

Romeo Miller stars as Jake, a friend of Brian (an attorney who places the family in Madea's care, also played by Tyler Perry) who was affected by the scam; Amos as Jake's (Romeo Miller's) father in the film, and Gibbs appears as Madea's neighbor.

Tyler's other movie, Good Deeds, starring Gabby Union and Thandie Newton, hits theaters February 24th.

Her girls Kim Kardashian and former "Real Housewives of Miami" star Larsa Pippen and her PR friend Jonathan Cheban all came out to support.  Fat Joe, Angie Martinez, Scottie Pippen, and more were also there.

La took the stage with Loren to speak to the crowds.  And also pushing their products at the big conference were Steve Stoute and many others.

It's been umpteen years since we've seen these two together out in public.  But everyone's favorite poster couple for that Hollywood Hood love...Bobby Brown & Whitney Houston...are totally different people now.  So the twosome reunited for a normal dinner with the only daughter they have together, Bobbi Kristina.

Bobbi Kristina is looking all grown up in her mini skirt and tights and navy boots as she went to dinner at a trendy Beverly Hills eatery.  She turns 19 next month (just made myself feel INCREDIBLY old as I vividly remember when this chick was born).  And looked happy as pie to be kicking it with her parents-drama free.  Well isn't that sweet.

Whitney, who won custody of Bobbi Kris following the divorce with Bobby having visitation rights, left out the restaurant alone after Bobbi left out with her dad to head home.  And now that Ms. Bobbi Kris is officially an adult, she's free to do as she pleases...especially when it comes to spending time with both her parents.

Actor Brian White recently sat for an interview where he ranted about racial sterotypes on reality shows, then he shockingly (even though his statement had truth to it) revealed that he thinks many Black women do act like NeNe Leakes.  So people claiming black women get "stereotyped" isn't necessarily the case. Get the deets inside.....

It must have gotten under Brian White's skin when folks talked trash about his interracial marraige.  He popped off then, and now he's stating something that's comes off just a bit attacking--despite the truth in it.   During a recent interview, the traveling production What My Husband Doesn't Know star went on a long rant about racial sterotypes on reality televison.  He also said he believes many Black women in fact do act like NeNe Leakes.  So people getting upset by racial sterotypes should actually be getting upset at the "reality" itself.  And also, what is being glorified and shown as the "reality" of black women (I do agree with him on that part). What is your insight on the Spike Lee vs. Tyler Perry beef? Why do you think people hate Tyler Perry so much?
Because Tyler holds a mirror up to people. Stereotypes are not stereotypes today. The most popular character [in Why Did I Get Married?], and it’s not the one that Tyler picked as the most popular, is Tasha! You have Janet Jackson and Jill Scott; my point is Jill Scott and Janet are huge music stars with huge fan bases, Tasha became the most popular because her character is portrayed the most like “Love & Hip Hop” the most like, “Desperate Housewives of Atlanta,” [we think he means "Housewives Of Atlanta] you might as well switch it around and pop in Nene [Leaks]. [Tasha Smith] is brilliant, she’s nothing like the character, she’s just portraying what she sees in society, magnified.[sic]

People get mad and say that’s not us. Yes it is.

Turn on “Love & Hip Hop” and turn on “Desperate Housewives Of Atlanta” those are “reality shows.” You can’t call something reality then get mad when it shows up in the movies as reality but that’s what we’re doing. That’s where the cycle continues. They don’t do that in Africa, they don’t do that in France; they don’t connect with that message.

Do you think Tyler Perry only depicts black people in a negative light? There are a lot of black people who fit into the stereotype but there are a lot of black people who don’t.
You can’t call it a stereotype if it’s the majority. The most prevalent image in “urban society” right now is women like Nene [Leaks]. If there’s a fight that breaks out on “Love & Hip Hop” those people are one every blog, the cover of every magazine the next week. It’s not Taraji or Gabrielle, it’s whoever just got into a fist fight. Tyler’s not stereotyping, he’s holding up a mirror and people are mad at him because people don’t want to look at that image in that way.

Do you believe that the stereotypes we see on TV are prevalent in the race or just portrayed on TV? Is it really the majority of black women that act like Nene?
I have five sisters and two moms, none of them are like that! To me, I can say I’m offended if they want to represent that and don’t want to represent my mom, but my mom represents Phylicia Rashād and has been represented on TV all my life. I can’t say that. I don’t watch “Real Housewives,” I’ve never seen an episode of “Love & Hop Hop” I’m not supporting it, I’m not giving it ratings. I’m not making the stereotype exist on TV. You’ve watched it, you’ve added to why it’s on TV.

But wait........

After the interview was published, Brian had some words for the writer tweeting,

@K_Ova Shocked at how positive our convo was on phone and to read her chopped up slanted version of it = Truly disghusted. [sic]

So.....maybe these aren't his true feelings and his words were taken out of context?  Your thoughts?

Diddy and Misa Hylton were proud parents yesterday as their son Justin Dior Combs signed his letter of intent to play football for UCLA on a full scholarship.  Pics and deets inside...

Justin Dior Combs, the son of Diddy and Misa Hylton signed his UCLA letter of intent yesterday (National Signing Day).  And his grandma Janice was there to cheer him on as well. 

The talented youngin' will attended the school on a full scholarship for football (worth about $54,000 a year).
And in accepting the full Division 1 scholarship to play at UCLA, he turned down offers from Wyoming, Virginia and Illinois.

Speaking about UCLA, Justin said,

'It was love at first sight.  When I stepped on the campus, I knew I was going to be a player there. I knew I just had to get there.'

And the soon-to-be-freshman cutie has been putting in a lot of practice to prep for his start on June 24, even working out with Jets star Darrelle Revis.  He said, "It’s going to be surreal at first but then at the end of the day you’ve got to go to work and you’ve got to get what’s yours and show why you’ve been working hard."

Earlier in the day, his mom Misa tweeted, Today is going to be a great day!

Meanwhile, Diddy said, 'This is everything a father could want for his son, for him to excel at what he loves to do and is truly passionate about.  Justin is a shining example of what hard work, determination and a strong mentality can achieve. Tons of celebs came out for T.I.'s big AKOO Fashion Show last night in Atlanta.  And Mr. Harris made it a family affair by having his sons, Domani, Messiah, & King walk the runway and his step-daughter, Zonnique, perform for the occasion.

Last night at Reign nightclub in Atlanta, rapper T.I. hosted the Akoo (his clothing line) Fashion Show, sponsored by ReeBok and Grey Goose.  Comedian Kevin Hart and Kenny Burns were the hosts of the evening.  And celebs filled the place for the show, featuring none other than T.I. and Tiny's own sons as three of the models.

Tiny was there front and center to support her man of course.  We still don't spy a baby bump, but she rocked a cream and silver mini skirt and loose blouse for the occasion.  Tiny's homie/hairstylist Shaneika was there (right) and T.I.'s mom Violeta Morgan was also there to support (left).

"ATL Housewife" Cynthia Bailey, Kalenna, and Keri Hilson were all there front row. 

Can't decide if I'm loving Keri's look--it's a while lot going on.

By the way, Ms. Keri sang Happy Birthday to Messiah as he was celebrating turning 11.

Diddy's baby mama Sarah Chapman was there--sans daughter Chance.

And she was spotted rocking THIS fat rock on her ring finger.  I wonder who gifted that one.  Engaged much Sarah?  Hmmm....

22-year-old Dark & Lovely spokeswoman Bria Murphy kept up her beauty routine in a nail salon in Beverly Hills yesterday.  But she hae had to spend her day today defending her fam.  Vicious twitter and internet rumors started up that her veteran actor father Eddie Murphy died.  Since there was no truth to the rumor, of course, Bria took to her twitter to clear it up:

My father is not dead! How did that rumor start up again?

And she RT'd a link to TMZ's story pointing out that the culprit of the rumor is a non-credible site known for making up celebrity death stories.

17-year-old Bria tagged along with her big sis as well.

NeNe Leakes (shown above on the set) wasn't too happy when she found out that actor Brian White had called her a racial stereotype" during a recent rant.  The "RHOA" star took to Twitter to defend herself and said maybe he's a little jealous that's she booking acting gigs!  See her response inside....

During Brian White's pissy rant about racial stereotypes on reality TV, he made a few negative comments about "RHOA" and "Glee" star NeNe Leakes.....and she's snapping back.

She defended "RHOA" saying they've never had a fist fight on the show and then added that "actors" seem to get upset with reality stars when they start booking acting gigs.  She just tweeted:

NeNe (who first appeared on "Glee" on Jan 17th) will make her second appearance on the hit tv show on Feb. 7th.  She tweeted,

Fab chicks Tia Mowry and SAG award winner Octavia Spencer have both announced new roles in upcoming films.   Get the deets on their flicks inside and also find out what Viola Davis is up to next.....

"The Game" actress and "Tia & Tamera" reality show star, Tia Mowry, will soon star in the ABC Family movie, Mistle-Tones.  

The film centers around Tia's character (Holly) who audtions for the Mistle-Tones, a singing group her mother founded, but loses out to group leader, Tori Spelling's, best friend.  Holly then creates a new group and takes the Mistle-Tones on in a singing competition.

Sounds like Bring It On meets "Glee".  Will Tia do her own singing?

New mom Tia begins shooting the movie in two weeks in Utah.  Also, her book, OH, BABY!: Pregnancy Tales and Advice from One Hot Mama to the Next will be released on May 14.

And in other movie news.....

The Help star Octavia Spencer has signed on to join Kang Ho Song, Chris Evans, John Hurt and Tilda Swinton in Snow Piercer. 

The Joon-Ho scripted flick is about a failed experiment to stop global warming which kills off all life on the planet except for the inhabitants of the Snow Piercer, a train that travels around the globe and is powered by a sacred perpetual-motion engine. The main conflict of the sci-fi flim is based on the class system that evolves on the train and the revolution it leads to.  

Oscar nominee Octavia will play a passenger who joins the revolt in order to save her son's life.

Also on her plate, she begins shooting Diablo Cody's (Juno) unnamed project in March, then moves to Snow Piercer at the end of April.

BONUS:

Octavia's The Help co-star Viola Davis has also announced new movie plans.  She's signed on for two new films, Ender's Game and Beautiful Creatures.

In Ender's Game (set for a March 2013 release) Viola will play a military psychologist in the sic sci-fi film which also stars Asa Butterfield, Harrison Ford, Hailee Steinfeld and Abigail Breslin.

And in Beautiful Creatures (a teenage love story) she will play a librarian.

Get ready y'all...."Love & Hip Hop" is headed to ATL for a spinoff!  Deets inside, plus a sneak peek of Chrissy reading Yandy her rights on the upcoming semi-reunion show....

"Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" is on the way...this according to VH1.  The network reportedly confirmed today that the beat-down having, ish talking, baby having, cat-fight loving show is headed down to the dirty south.

No cast has been set...but we can surely name SEVERAL people who will indeed jump at the chance to be featured on this ish.  Who do you think will be cast?

Meanwhile:

The "reunion" show is set to air February 6th.  But since the ladies, for whatever reason, couldn't bear to film in the same room together, it's done in separate clips. The drama was so extreme and the battles so intense that some cast members now refuse to be in the same room.

In the revealing one-hour special, the cast goes one-on-one with Executive Producer Mona Scott Young in which they speak candidly about this past season: Why did Somaya go missing on the show? Will Emily and Fab work it out? What did Yandy really write in her explosive e-mail? Will wedding bells really ever ring for Chrissy and Jim? And, most shocking of all, find out who quit the show and may be gone for good.

In the above sneak peek, you can see an outtake of Chrissy going in on Yandy and reminding her Yandy that she created a lane (this show) for her to get money....so she needs to check herself.  Womp.

Anywho, the Sparkle star and Brandy's brother were spotted having dinner at Sunset Plaza in West Hollywood last night.  This comes right after Whit had dinner with her ex Bobby Brown and daughter Bobbi Kristina a few nights ago as well. 

And Whitney looked happy as pie.

They left the restaurant in Ray's Rolls Royce and headed home:

Mmhmmm.  We know that look...

LaLa Anthony was spotted out doing a little retail therapy with friends Trina, Dice and Po yesterday.  See pics of the ladies inside......

Cameras rolling!  TV Personality LaLa went shopping with friends Trina, Dice and Po in Miami.

The shopping gals bought a few items from Alchemist.   And LaLa rocked her bell bottom jeans while Trina rocked bright a yellow jeans...which we're loving.

LaLa was wearing a microphone so she's still shooting scenes for her reality show.

Then the gals all went to lunch at Paul French Bakery for turkey sandwichs and salads.

And later last night:

LaLa, who recently launched a cosmetics line, threw at party with Rico Love at Club Rush.  And the club gifted her a makeup cake.  Cute!
