Trina Braxton is still with her hubby Gabe apparently.

She kept it simple in a fitted black dress and mirrored blue pumps.

Da Brat reached into her 90's closet--which is her normal closet--to put on her tomboy oversized tee and camo with a neon green MCM backpack.

SoSo Def newbie Dondria rocked a black cutout dress for the party.

JD's business partner & dad Michael Mauldin came out to party too.

Bow Wow jetted to ATL to get back to his Def roots.  And he hit the DJ booth with V103 host Big Tigger.

T-Pain and his beard made an appearance.

Nicki Minaj ditched the crazy outfits and overload of colors for a chic flirty white dress for her Mac Pro Store appearance in L.A.  Check out the "Idol" judge looking fab inside...

It's not often we love Nicki Minaj's look, but her cutesy look on Friday for her "Lavender" Mac Pro in-store appearance on Robertson Blvd. makes us remember she's such a pretty chick underneath all the costumes.

She rocked her blow-out blonde wig with black roots--and it actually works-- with a knit white flirty scalloped hemmed dress and her nude/soft pink Fendi "Fendista" pumps.  And accessorized with a couple Chanel bracelets.

The "Freaks" rapper was pushing her personal MAC brand of "lavender" pink lipstick and lipglass and tweeted to her followers to wear their head-to-toe lavender for a chance to meet her.

By the way, every penny of profit made from Nicki's lip color line goes towards helping children and adults living with and affected by HIV/AIDS.

First Lady Michelle Obama has been on a whirlwind press tour for the 3rd anniversary of her Let's Move campaign.  Check out her funny "Mom Dances" video she did with Jimmy Fallon last night, and her interviews with Robin Roberts & Dr. Oz...

Leave it to our fab First Lady to come up with something funny to add to her Let's Move campaign.  Last year, she and ate night host Jimmy Fallon had their own version of the Olympics at the White House.  And last night, they put together a video of "Mom Dances".  Complete with Jimmy dressing in his own mom clothes and Mrs. O helping him with the dances every mom knows.

She got dressed in her usual fab gear during her interview though.  Check out the dance below:

And she even stopped by Dr. Oz's show to dance it up with kids from Terence C. Reilly #7 School in Elizabeth, New Jersey. That segment airs Thursday.

Our First Lady will also be making stops in Mississippi, Illinois and Missouri.

Kimora Lee Simmons was spotted out at dinner at BOA Steakhouse in Beverly Hills last night.  But it's who she snuck out the back of the restaurant and into an awaiting car with that has us thinking this was more than the fashionista just grabbing some grub.

Now that KiKi Simmons is officially a single girl, despite looking pretty close to her ex and baby's daddy Djimon Hounsou recently, she's free to date whomever she pleases.  And it seems the mom of 3 has already started entertaining the company of male "friends".

Last night, the "House of Fab" star was spotted creeping out the back door of BOA restaurant, and she hopped in the back of a car with a studious looking older guy (pictured above).

Kimora rocked a sexy side-zipped fitted black mini dress and heels to show off her modelicious legs.  So we're thinking this wasn't just dinner with the girls.  Was she on a date with a new mystery guy?  Hmmm.

It's a girl from Kanye& Kim!  According to reports, Kanye West is about to become a father to a baby girl....and that ought to be very interesting.

Mr. West may want to hit up Mr. Carter for some advice on being a father to a little girl.  Because Us Weeklyreports he and girlfriend Kim K. are indeed expecting a baby girl.

"They're over the moon!" a source close to the first-time parents-to-be tells Us Weekly. "Kanye always wanted a girl."

We're sure the couple already have some custom Louboutins, Versace and Prada baby girl clothes being whipped up in a factory somewhere.

Kim already said on Jimmy Fallon last month:

"If anyone knows Kanye, they just know how into fashion he is, and I think he's going to have things specially made.  So I don't think hand-me-downs are going to work....He is so excited.  It's really cute how excited he is."

And their baby girl won't be coming home to that extra lavish $10.75 mill Bel Air mansion Kanye & Kim bought together recently with plans to renovate it into a 14,000 sqft Italian villa.  Because apparently, the two have already SOLD IT OFF!  The NY Daily Newsreports that an undisclosed buyer paid $11.75 mill--a million dollars more than the purchase price--to grab the property from the parents-to-be.

Why the quick turnover?  Who knows.  But we do know Kim as mentioned the couple buying homes in NY, Paris, and Miami as well so their child can be "well rounded."

We all know Kanye West no longer speaks to the media anymore...because he feels like everything he says is twisted into something negative.  So he often uses the stage as his platform.   And he may have more people than usual on his side tonight after his rant at his London concert...

After Mr. West performed "Clique" on stage at the Hammersmith Apollo in London tonight, he gave the audience a piece of his mind about the Grammys and people respecting his creativity.  And he spoke in general about reminding folks why he does this...and people in this business losing site of the art.

He said he hates business people and sponsors, the ones who ask him in meetings how they can "sell" what he's doing instead of understanding and respecting his music. 

He called out rappers who talk about smashing other dudes chick (Ha!).

He said "The Grammys can s*ck my d*ck"...and alluded to the organization not respecting creativity.

He also said he's got love for Jay-Z, but "not feeling that Suit & Tie sh*t."  Not surprised.

On the eve of the Oscars, celebs hit up the big 2013 Independent Spirit Awards in Santa Monica Saturday afternoon.  We've got the YBF celebs who made their way to the fab event inside....

She gorgeous and knows how to rock an Italian designer.  Django Unchained star Kerry Washington donned a green and purple floral two-toned dress by Giambattista Valli.  And paired it with matching shoes and a Bottega Veneta clutch.  Adore this look.

Zoe Saldana kept with the green trend and rocked a striped Dolce & Gabbana dress paired with white Casadei pumps with green piping. And she hit the carpet with her sister Cisley:

It's def not the easiest look to pull off.  We don't hate it, but not loving it.

Zoe posed it up with Best Actress nominee Quvenzhané Wallis.

She and her staple puppy purse looked cute as usual.  And we're pulling for her at the Oscars!

Q brought her mom and sister along for some moral support.

Silver Linings Playbook star Chris Tucker hit the pink carpet in a white dinner jacket.

And speaking of The Door," the short's director Ava Duvernay took home the John Cassavetes award for her film, Middle of Nowhere. Congrats!

MC Hammer had a run-in with the law recently.  And he's putting the police department on blast via Twitter for racially profiling him and wrongfully citing him.

Thursday, when Hammer was driving in Dublin, CA after putting in some community service helping out the inmates who are turning their lives around in San Quentin, he was arrested for Obstruction of a police officer.

Here's what went down, according to the Oakland News, the 50-year-old rapper was booked at the Santa Rita jail after an officer approached him at a local shopping center.  And a verbal altercation reportedly occurred.

Last night, Hammer gave his side of the story and claims it was simply racially profiling and he did nothing wrong (read from the bottom up):

Not far-fetched at all.

Hammer also posted this pic below:

He said, "Disappointment? I was on my way to San Quentin Friday morning to congratulate a group of inmates in "The Last Mile".

And he ended his statement saying,"Instead of being bitter, I'm taking the opportunity to make this a "teachable moment" and "eye opener" for my many friends & colleagues."

Please Hammer don't hurt 'em!

When Willow Smith dropped out the lead role of Annie in the upcoming "Annie" remake--produced by Will & Jada Pinkett Smith--Columbia Pictures just announced their newest choice for the starring role.

Quvenzhane Wallis, the Oscar-nominated 9-year-old star of Beasts of the Southern Wild, has just been cast to play the title role in the upcoming remake of Annie.

The film will be directed by Will Gluck and co-produced by Jay-Z, Jay Brown & Ty Ty Smith through Marcy Media in addition to the Smith's Overbrook Entertainment.

And the well-spoken and poised cutie Quvenzhane will be singing and dancing in the remake to music produced specifically for the film by Jay-Z.

Columbia Pictures President Hannah Minghella said about the new casting decision:

“With the recent Academy Award nomination and critical acclaim, Quvenzhane Wallis is a true star, and we believe her portrayal as Annie will make her a true worldwide star.  She is an extraordinary young talent with an amazing range, not only as an actress but as a singer and dancer, and we can’t wait for audiences to further discover her."

According to THR, DeVon Franklin will be overseeing the movie at the studio with Andrea Giannetti. And the film based on the 1977 Broadway production is set to be released during the Holidays of 2014.

She's the perfect choice for the role.  And whether she wins or loses at tonight's Oscars, she's well on her way to a BIG Hollywood career.  Congrats Q!

Tonight at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, our fave YBF celebs hit the biggest red carpet of the season.  Check out the glitz, glamour, and sexiness of Halle Berry, Jennifer Hudson, Kelly Rowland, Kerry Washington, Jamie Foxx and plenty more inside at the 2013 Oscars...

Let's take a moment for this vintage perfection that is Halle Berry in a custom Versace black & silver sparkling gown.  Ms. Berry revealed that, since she's presenting in honor of the James Bond 50 year anniversary, she had Donatella Versace make her a gown to reflect her Bond days.  Hot!  The former Bond girl also rocked Adeler earrings and a Le Vian ring.

Django Unchained star Kerry Washington had a melon-like moment on the red carpet in a coral strapless beaded bodice Miu Miu gown.  As usual, she kept her hair and makeup simple and looked simply gorgeous.  We wanted a bit more OOMPH..since this IS the Oscars...but she knows what works for her body and this is it.

Before showing off her Fred Leighton diamond ring and Chopard earrings, she dished to E! Host Ryan Seacrest about her Oscar day routine saying, "I started today with a workout...I had to get the workout in early. I did Pilates so I feel tall and lean and strong."

She completed her look with a matching Prada clutch.

Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson channeled a sexy mermaid in her navy blue high slit gown from Roberto Cavalli and Sutra opal and diamond earrings and ring.  She paired the look with Giuseppe Zanotti metalic blue pumps.  The singer/actress, who is performing a song from Dreamgirls tonight, dished to E! on how she chose this particular gown:

"I love it and it's such a great pop of color on this Academy Award red carpet. Oh my God it took 3 fittings, 3 days of fittings. 3 hours each. It's serious business to choose. My stylist cried tears of joy."

The dress and color looks great on her new bod.

Jenny loves a "shocked" face doesn't she? 

She brought her sister Julia along as her date for the night, posed it up with Kelly Rowland and Kelly Ripa (in Carolina Herrera), and spoke about working on her newest musical, Black Nativity.
 

Kelly Rowland chose another winner after the Grammys as she hit the red carpet in this black & white stunner.  She rocked this strapless exaggerated sweetheart neckline Donna Karan Atelier gown with a black skirt and high slit to show off her gams.

Amazing look for her.  She also hosted the red carpet for ABC alongside Kristin Chenoweth (in Tony Ward), and folks were wondering about that diamond on her left hand's ring finger.  Hmmm.  Her boyfriend/manager Tim Weatherspoon also Instagrammed a few pics of his lady backstage.
 

Little 9-year-old  Wallis kept her Armani dress very age appropriate as she's done all awards season.  The youngest nominee in Oscar history and dog lover told the story behind her cute puppy purse as well saying, "I named this one after my puppy at home, Sammy."

She said about choosing this cute dress, "I picked this because it's sparkly and fluffy."  And since Q's a huge Demi Lovato fan, Ryan Seacrest played video of Demi on the red carpet wishing her congrats.

And she even got to catch up with Halle.

We know Oscar winner Octavia Spencer loves Tadashi Shoji....but this dress is not the best choice for her.  The actress has been making her rounds promoting Sensa, the new weight loss product she endorses, and she's lost 20 pounds.  But thanks to all this unnecessary tulle and fluffiness of the Tadashi dress, no one can tell.

There's so many other choices that would have been fabulous for her.  But we wish she would have reserved this one for the church banquet.  She accessorized her look with a Judith Leiber clutch and Lorraine Schwartz jewels..

Upcoming Nina star Zoe Saldana rocked a look that's much talked about tonight on the red carpet:
 

The pale lavender/white and black/grey trimmed Alexis Mabille couture gown wasn't our fave, but she did have an ethereal look on the carpet.  She's gorgeous and it's hard for her not to look that way regardless of what she's wearing.  The asymmetrical ruffled hem and decadent floral trim on the bust line gave the dress a punch.  But maybe it's the faux belt that gets us...

Django Unchained star Jamie Foxx looked great with his John Asher stingray bowtie...but mainly due to his gorgeous 19-year-old daughter Corinne being his date for the night as usual.

As Jamie was interviewed by Kelly Rowland on the carpet, who he made blush by flirting with her and revealing his crush, he dished on what he and Corinne talked about in the car on the way over:

"I was listening to my daughter talk about college and relationships. I'm always shooting movies so when we get in the car, we're just catching up. Talking about love…you know."
 

Sweet!

Skyfall star Naomie Harris avoided a wardrobe malfunction on the carpet in this extra sexy dress with an up-to-the-hooha slit.  The gown was the winning design in Suzy Amis Cameron’s Red Carpet Green Dress Challenge.   So it's environmentally friendly including the bodice embellished with vintage glass beads and chocolate wrappers!

A press release stated that the gown, designed by Ghana-born fashion designer Michael Badger of Savannah College of Art and Design, was inspired by volcanoes and the appearance of flowing lava.  Badger was also mentored by Vivienne Westwood.
 

Queen Latifah was there to present and rocked a white Badgely Mischka gown.  She looks good.

Silver Linings Playbook star Chris Tucker hit the carpet looking clean in his look.  And as for his comedy career, he's headed back out on the road saying, "I'm going on tour and just filmed my stand up comedy movie that's out soon. I've grown up over time. i talk about all that, friends and family and all that."
 

"Live" co-host Michael Strahan looked pretty dapper...pursed lips and all.

Lincoln actress Gloria Reuben rocked an Oliver Tolentino Couture dark purple silk organza mermaid gown complete with rosette cut-outs.

Correspondent Shaun Robinson looked nice as usual in her black and nude David Meister strapless gown, Mark Lash jewelry and Swarovski clutch.

Robin Roberts returned to her post at ABC's red carpet show looking stunning in a royal blue Marc Bauwer gown. 

And "ET" correspondent Rocsi Diaz showed off her Jean Fares Couture gown on Instagram before jetting out for the evening.  Pretty.

The 85th Annual Academy Awards are over, and in case you missed performances from Jennifer Hudson, Adele & more, we've got them inside....

As the Academy gave a tribute to musicals, Jennifer Hudson--in a beaded silver Kauffman Franco gown--did another performance of the song she sang in Dreamgirls, "And I Am Telling You."   And slayed it for a standing ovation.  Check it below:

And as the Oscars celebrated 50 years of James Bond films, Dame Shirley Bassey rocked the iconic "Goldfinger" theme song and Adele--who just won the Oscar for Best Original Song tonight and rocked a Jenny Packham dress--performed "Skyfall".  Check out both below.

And the biggest surprise of the night was First Lady Michelle Obama presenting the Best Picture Award...live from the White House. 

She looked gorgeous in a dazzling metallic gown by Naeem Khan as she live streamed the opening of the envelope from D.C. as Jack Nicholson presented on stage.  Nice!

Ciara, who performed in Dubai last week, shared the fun photos from her trip which included mounting a camel, a dune buggy ride through the sands and a club outing with fans.  See the pics inside....

Alhough we're only two months into the year, Ciara's already had more fun than many folks will ever see in 2013.  In addition to All-Star Weekend and the Grammys, last week, she jetted off for some more fun (and a concert performance) in Dubai. 

Ciara may not have any radio hits right now but she's still living it up and can book well-paying perfomance gigs around the world some type of way.  She recently hit the stage in Dubai at Oud Metha venue.

Offstage, CiCi made the most of her trip with a trip to People By Crystal where she partied with a few fans.

Chick was riding dirty--in a dune buggy in the sands.

And of course, she took advantage of the local culture and indulged in a little hookah and sported a henna tattoo.  "Wrapped It Up With Hookah and Henna! This was a perfect trip!:) #FansandFun. #Dubai Xo"

Last night, the satirical website The Onion seriously overstepped the boundaries of taste and sensibility when they described 9-year-old Academy Award nominee Quvenzhane Wallis using the "C-word." Read the outrageous tweet inside...

In what they considered to be humorous updates and tweets about the 2013 Academy Awards last night, the satirical website The Onion posted a tweet about youngest nominee in Oscar history, Quvenzhane Wallis, where they described her using the "c-word."

Of course the tweet has been deleted, but a handy screen shot shows that it was nestled among other unfunny updates. 

The jab at Quvenzhane did not go unnoticed as many were outraged and folks like Russell Simmons and Roland Martin immediately weighed in.  

According to the AP, the tweet was up for at least an hour before The Onion deleted it and unfortunately, the tweet was "liked" by at least 400 followers. SMH.  

Sadly, The Onion still HAS NOT addressed the tweet on any of their social media sites nor released a statement.  And we doubt they will. 

And we're not going to even discuss how little Quvenzhane had to tell an AP news reporter on the red carpet, "No, that's not my name" when the person told her they would just call her"Annie" instead (presumably because her name is "too difficult" for them to pronounce).

Are we disgusted by mainstream media attacking another young black girl, who is doing AMAZING things, publicly in the most disturbing of ways--Yes.  Are we surprised by it?  No.  We guess people are so used to seeing black women with little to no self esteem plastered all over our tv's and internet that folks forgot what confidence looked like.  Deal with it.  And do better. 

And no, we're not going to sit around and wait for a public apology....we wait for mainstream to do way to much FOR us.  Thankfully, we have our own media to uplift and praise our own.

The Oscar parties are just as big as the Oscars themselves.  We've got pics of everyone who hit up Elton John's annual viewing party, plus the biggest Oscar afterparty hotspot: the Vanity Fair party....

The Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Party is an annual party held for the last 20 years!  And it's become THE place to be...other than inside the Dolby Theater at the actual show.

On hand to help raise millions for AIDS research at the pink/red/gold themed extravaganza at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood were Chris Brown, Solange, Nicki Minaj, and Nicki's "Idol" co-host Randy Jackson.

Chris made a statement (not sure what that statement is exactly though) in his Angelo Galasso suit, complete with an animal print jacket.  She paired it with red trimmed Alberta Ferretti shoes and Thom Browne glasses for a young studious look.  Throwback Chris from his teen days...

The "Home" singer posed it up with the man of the hour, Sir Elton himself.

And he posed it up with his homies Nicki and Randy.

Nicki kept it surprisingly chic yet boobalicious in this white strapless metallic belted waist dress and sparkling sandals.  And her own MAC lavender pink lipstick as well.

She kicked it with Kim & Kourtney Kardashian.  And damn....we know Nicki is mad short and so are the Kardashians.  But she's almost towering over them!  How tall are these chicks?

Naomi Campbell brought her perfection to her good friend's party.

And she posed it up with her long time friend Quincy Jones and fellow model/reality show host Heidi Klum, who looked gorgeous in a silver & gold Julien Macdonald gown.

NaNa also posed with her good friend, designer Zac Posen.

UK singer Emeli Sande showed off her svelte new figure.

And posed it up with Miley Cyrus who was in a gorgeous white, backless Azzaro dress.

Olympic gold medalist Allyson Felix kept it chic and simple in a navy blue strapless gown.

Nicole Richie never disappoints on a carpet.  She kept it cool in a white long sleeved flowing gown with black leather trim as she hit the carpet with her husband Joel Madden.

Mel B. rocked a pretty strapless pale pink gown with a feathered skirt with a slit as she osed with her husband Chris.

And actress Lorraine Toussaint also hit the carpet.

Leave it to Jim Carrey to take over the carpet with some foolery.  He and his BIG ASS FEET (who made these?) posed it up with former "IDol" judge Steven Tyler and Randy.

And over at the Vanity Fair Oscar afterparty, the stars were in full force:

Paula Patton dazzled in a gold sparkling Mac Duggal gown as she posed it up with a Versace-rocking Halle Berry.

And Paula and her boobs posed with her hubby, "Real Husbands of Hollywood" star Robin Thicke.

Solange Knowles made a statement in yellow sequined Emilio Pucci gown with Lorraine Schwartz jewels.  Gorge.

Jen threw back on her Cavalli Couture gown after performing in a Kaufman Franco design.

Rasheeda Jones kept it sparkly in a sleeveless blue sequined gown.

John Legend, fresh off selling his NYC condo for a $775,000 profit, attended the party with his fiancee Chrissy Teigen.

Jamie Foxx and his gorge daughter Corinne spent some QT at the afterparty.

Oscar winner Octavia Spencer took off those Prada shoes extra quick when she hit that afterparty with Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Chelsea Handler.  There was no assistant or friend she could have passed them to for the pic though?  Gotta love the realness.

Regina King and her toned bod looked nice in her silver frock.

Olympian Gabby Douglas popped up for the festivities of course.

And actor Chris Tucker cuddled up with his date.

After weeks of speculation, Power 105 personality DJ Envy has come clean about his affair with "Love & Hip Hop" star Erica Mena and has now apologized to his pregnant wife Gia Casey.  Read what he said about the uncertainty of his marriage inside...

Earlier this morning, Power 105 personality and The Breakfast Club co-host DJ Envy confessed to his audience that he had an affair.  He revealed that it was his own insecurity that led to him stepping out on his wife, Gia Casey.  He's been open and honest about marital problems before, but we all thought it was a ploy for him and the now-pregnant Gia to get on the "Real Housewives Of New Jersey."  But it turns out, there REALLY was trouble in their marriage.  But they very well could still be using it for some reality show shine.

Envy told his listeners about the reasons that led him to cheat with a "bird" and "liar" and how it has affected his marriage.

It’s a difficult thing to do. Sometimes being married it makes you insecure dude. I looked like I had everything. It was scary, my wife is gorgeous. She might need somebody that’s smarter than me. It made me insecure.

He continued,

With being insecure, with me being weak. I was so insecure and so down..I started messing with somebody that was beneath me. A bird. Evil. A liar. Somebody that was desperate and it's just so pathetic. I mean I didn’t have to feed this person. I didn’t have to make her feel special, because she wasn’t. So that’s what it was.
 

And about his marriage....

With the help of God, this situation has made my family tighter. Like tighter. I’m honest. I had to be honest with myself. And the hardest thing I had to do was tell my wife EVERYTHING. When I say everything. She looked at me so different. To look at my family. So you guys follow me on twitter. We’re good. We’re not great. I don’t know what happens from here. Now if we remain together, as a relationship, we’ll see. But as a family, nobody’s stopping us. I just want to tell you ‘I love you. And we’ll see what God has in store for us.’
 

Now....DJ Envy NEVER said a name...but he didn't really need to name names (his mistress is doing that for him).  But on another note, why do men always call th women they cheat with birds and beneath them...when they CHOSE said chick to mess with?  So what does that make you?

We told you in a previous post about Erica admitting to an affair with DJ Envy (before she started dating Rich Dollaz) and that their stormy relationship would be chronicled in her upcoming book "Underneath It All" (April 2013). So now, DJ Envy's been forced to come clean as all his business is about to hit the streets.

Erica feels the same way and called him out on Twitter for coming clean AFTER she exposed him and she said he would have kept this a secret if he could have.  Oh.....she also checked him for calling him out AFTER she left him.   We guess she wasn't a "bird" while he was screwing her (so she thinks).  

And while we aren't giving DJ Envy any brownie points for being honest or attemping to working on his marriage AFTER he cheated, he does have some support in high places.  

Singer Tyrese, who's branding himself as an expert on relationships between men and women offered him some words of encouragement....which DJ Envy retweeted.  

SMH....if only people could take this kind of advice BEFORE they do their dirt.
