Evelyn Lozada is talking about how she dealt with the aftermath of her domestic violence situation with ex-husband Chad Johnson.  And she's rocking the cover of VIBE VIXEN magazine's Beauty Issue....

She's got a new clothing line she just debuted at London Fashion Week, she's cranking out novels for her Cash Money Content book deal, and is still mixing it up with her co-stars on "Basketball Wives." 

So VIBE VIXEN caught up with Evelyn Lozada about her new change of attitude (no longer the resident snappy mouthed chick?), how her daughter saved her afer domestic violence, and the type of man she's looking for.

On changing her attitude for BBW 5:
“Listen, I’m not ever in life going to do some of the things I did last season, but I’m still going to be me. You don’t ever know what will come out of my mouth.”

On how her daughter helped her cope with the aftermath of the domestic violence:
"She’s been with me since the day of, and for three months, we were together. I was having anxiety, so I slept next to her; we were connected at the hips. She stepped up to do things that I mentally didn’t want to do."

On the type of man she admires:
"I really look up to Meagan Good and her husband, DeVon [Franklin]. I heard him preach, and this man had me in tears. I was like, “Wow, this is a man."

On what she looks forward to after reality TV:
"I would love to do production, turning my book into TV features and continue to work in fashion. I want my brands to be big. Global status."

Rihanna posted pictures from her birthday party in Hawaii last night where she celebrated with Chris Brown, her bestie Melissa Forde and others.  See the birthday cake inside..... 

Rihanna turned 25-years-old yesterday and she celebrated with an intimate party in Hawaii with friends.   And Breezy made sure to get in some cakin' action.

Her boo Chris Brown, who spent the earlier party of the day on the beach with RiRi, helped make her day special.  

She partied with her little brother Rorrey Fenty too. She tweeted,"Me and my big little brother."

The fellas held it down and gave RiRi a birthday shout out.

Then she tweeted a pic of her girlfriends with the caption "My #hoes"

Her assistant Jen Rosales rocked an animal print for the party.   And held up a small bag of a very mysterious white powdery substance.  Oh we can only wonder what THAT is....

And of course there was birthday cake for everyone.

Jeanette Jenkins teamed with Nike and Essence recently to promote healthier living in the community and she was joined by Kelly Rowland, Vanessa Williams and a few other hard bodied brown girls.  See the photos inside....

For the third year in a row, famed trainer to fab chicks like Kelly Rowland and other stars, Jeanette Jenkins, teamed with Nike and Essence to host the "YogaSculpt Workout" which was a part of the festivities celebrating the Essence Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon.

Jeanette was flanked by some of Hollywood's most beautiful faces including Kelly Rowland, Vanessa Williams, Holly Robinson Peete, Jurnee Smollett and Anika Noni Rose.  And clearly these tight and tones ladies know how to get their workout on.

Kelly was in the front row providing "Motivation."

The ladies introduced a new shoe called the "Nike Studio Wrap" which is great for yoga, sculpting or dance workouts.  And Gold Medal winning gymnast Shawn Johnson, who Jeanette's training for a Nike half marathon, got suited up in the fab shoes too.  Also, Nike trainer Patrick Goudeau posed with the ladies.

Actress Emayatzy Corinealdi, who starred in the Sundance film "Middle of Nowhere" posed with Jeanette.

And Kelly Rowland (who posed with Jurnee) has become quite the social media maven.  She did the live Fitness Twitter Chat to help motivate followers so they could be part of the experience.  A while back, she also live tweeted from a Super Bowl event.

Kerry Washington, who is presenting at this Sunday's Oscars,is staying in movie theaters year around.  Check out her movie poster & promo for her upcoming romantic comedy flick, plus Mel B. is newest "America's Got Talent" judge...

It seems like she never takes a break, and has a movie in theaters at all times, as well as a hit show on ABC.  "Scandal" star Kerry Washington's new film, Tyler Perry Presents Peeples--formerly Tina Gordon Chism's We The Peeples--is hitting theaters May 10th.  And the up close and personal promo posters were just released.

Here's the full synopsis of the flick, all about a man enduring a weekend from hell to impress his girlfriend's family:

Wade Walker is eager to propose to his girlfriend, Grace Peeples. But after a year of living together, the beautiful, successful Grace is still cagey about introducing average guy Wade to her ambitious, upper crust family. So when Grace leaves for an annual reunion at her parents’ swanky Sag Harbor compound, Wade decides to crash the gathering, charm his soon-to-be in-laws and slip a ring on Grace’s finger. However Wade's plans go hilariously awry when he meets the high-powered, seemingly picture-perfect family who’ll do whatever it takes to keep up appearances. Wade soon finds himself caught in a web of white lies and comic dysfunction, and realizes that his only hope of ever marrying Grace means a take-no-prisoners face-off with Judge Peeples, Grace’s disapproving dad who won’t accept anything less than the very best for his favorite daughter.

Kerry & Craig's co-stars include David Alan Grier, S. Epatha Merkerson, Melvin Van Peebles, Diahann Carroll, and Kali Hawk.  Tyler Perry seems to have taken the (publicity) helm of the film as producer, and we'll be seeing.

In other news of new gigs, Mel B. is back at the judge's table.  NBC's "America's Got Talent" is losing Sharon Osburne, but gaining Spice Girl Mel B.

Spice Girl Mel B (aka Melanie Brown) will join the summer reality hit’s judging panel. She’ll take a seat beside Howard Stern and Howie Mandel critiquing the show’s wild variety of performers. The pop singer has live competition show experience having served as a judge on the Australian version of The X Factor as well as guest hosted on the show’s UK version.

Amber posted yesterday that she wasn't in labor....yet.  And her due date is February 24th.

And Zoe Saldana offered up her good friend Kerry a few kisses.

Oprah Winfrey and Viola Davis were amongst the fabulous well wishers who honored Ms. Carroll before sitting down to an intimate four-course dinner prepared by Chef Emma Coriz and paired with Rémy Martin cocktails. 

Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry wore a sexy black cocktail dress to the Cinema Sistahs Soiree.  And over the weekend, Halle will likely be among the attendees at this Sunday's Oscar telecast where Kerry has also just been announced as a presenter.

Tia and Tamera Mowry were spotted at Spago for an ESSENCE Magazine event (sponsored by Target) where they posed with the mag's entertainment director, Cori Murray as well as Mikki Taylor.

Finally!  Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose are officially parents to their brand new baby boy--Sebastian Taylor Thomaz!  Wiz's first words as a proud dad inside...

After a false labor alarm yesterday, it was all systems-a-go today.  "Up" rapper Wiz Khalifa--real name Cameron Jibril Thomaz--just announced that fiancee' Amber Rose has delivered the couple's first child.

We're sure their little one is a major cutie and we hope to get a peek soon.

Not one to be shown up by her hubby, Beyonce just nabbed her own global publishing deal with Warner/Chappell Music.  Just one day after Jay-Z made his own announcement.

It's one thing to make your cash with albums and tours but it's a while other to lock in long term consistent money that comes whether you're working or not.  Singer/songwriter Beyonce knows the deal, so she just signed her own global publishing deal with a publishing powerhouse

It’s an honor to join Warner/Chappell Music and to continue working with my friend Jon Platt,” commented Beyoncé in the Warner/Chappell announcement release. “I trust his vision and admire his professionalism, and I look forward to our partnership.”

Jay-Z signed a similar deal for himself and his Roc Nation artists to gain compensation for their writing.  Billboard reports:

Beyoncé has signed a global publishing agreement with Warner/Chappell Music, Billboard has learned exclusively. Effective immediately, Warner/Chappell -- headed by chairman/CEO Cameron Strang -- will administer the 17-time Grammy winner’s future songwriting, including her anticipated next album.

Beyoncé is the latest high-profile addition to the Warner/Chappell roster. Earlier this week, it was announced that Jay-Z and his Roc Nation firm had also signed worldwide publishing administration deals with the publishing company. Oprah Winfrey was among the many high power celebrities who attended the Essence Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon at the Beverly Hills Hotel earlier yesterday.   It was an event that tops the list of the YBF folks during Oscar season, and is a lovefest for all involved. 

Clearly O was trying out a new 'do....that we're not feeling.

At the event, Oprah was honored alongside five other special guests-- Alfre Woodard, Gabrielle Union, producer and TV writer Mara Brock Akil, Naomie Harris and Quvenzhané Wallis.

She even brought her "daughters" as she calls them from her school in Africa.

"Beasts of the Southern WIld" star Quvenzhané Wallis was honored during the event with a super cute floral dress and her staple puppy purse.

Supermodel Naomi Campbell, who's currently starring in "The Face", showed off her amazing legs and skin in a flirty white Azzedine Alaïa dress.

Despite landing the cover of KONTROL Magazine, Chrisette Michele had a rough week that included a trip to the hospital.  Find out what happened inside and see her, Nick Cannon plus "LAHH ATL" stars Rasheeda and Kirk on their own covers of KONTROL.

In the March/April issue of KONTROL, Chrisette Michele commands the cover and uses the interview to establish her independence as an artist.  She talks about how she felt once she realized the industry was stripping away her individuality and how she reclaimed herself.  She said,

“My weakest moment in my musical career came when I almost decided to leave the industry completely because I didn’t know that I could say no and do things on my own. I relied on the ‘experts’ to tell me what I needed and I thought maybe I wasn’t strong enough to say no.”

Though Chrisette was able to find her inner voice and take KONTROL, one thing she couldn't control her appendix.  She was forced to cancel an appearance in NY's Times Square this week following a hospital visit to treat a ruptured appendix.  OUCH. Fortunately, she's okay now.  

Following a speedy recovery, she'll join Keyshia Cole on the Woman to Woman Tour starting on March 28 in Westbury, New York where she'll also promote her upcoming album Better (April 30th).

“I believe fashion is all about making a statement. Whenever you put something on as long as it’s saying something…You play with colors and textures it’s all about really just making that statement.” And when the topic of designers comes up? Cannon says without hesitation, “Right now I’d have to go with Tom Ford. The fact that he kind of goes over the top but still knows how to keep it classy.”

His advice for Roc and Roe

Roe: “If you respect yourself, [men] will respect you. As soon as you give away your dignity, whatever you believe that to be, that’s when people will start to treat you as such.

Roc: “Go hard! Simple. Whatever it is. Just don’t be mediocre at anything. Anything you try, try to be the best you can possible be.”

The Carter household is going to be one busy place this summer.  Not only will Beyonce be on her Mrs. Carter World Tour...but now her husband Jay-Z is about to roll out for a Legends of the Summer tour with Justin Timberlake.

Last summer he had mad fun touring with Kanye West on the Watch The Throne tour.  Now, LiveNation has announced that Hov will rock 12 stadium performances with his "Suit & Tie" homie Justin Timberlake as JT promotes his upcoming 20/20 Experience album dropping next month.

The twosome--who have been in this game for over 2 decades--have 23 Grammy Awards, 67 million albums sold and two Emmys combined.  So they came up with a fitting name for the tour.

It's called the LEGENDS OF THE SUMMER tour and it will kick off July 17th in Toronto, Ontario at the Roger's Centre and continue through August 16th in Miami at Sun Life Stadium.

They're taking their talents to San Francisco, Vancouver, Detroit, Baltimore, and Philadelphia and performing in legendary stadiums like Yankee Stadium, Fenway Park, Rose Bowl and Candlestick Park.

Tickets for all dates except New York (that announcement coming soon) go on sale to the public on Thursday, February 28th at LiveNation.com.

Who's going?

In the foolish news of the day, Erica Mena has revealed that the rumors of her messing around with the very married DJ Envy and she "left him alone" so she could be with Rich Dollaz.  But she also tries to convince folks she did nothing wrong saying that "you can't break up a happy home."

Remember last month when Charlamagne gave his Power 105.1 Breakfast Club co-host the Donkey of the Day for his recent slacker behavior?  And while they didn't go into detail about why Envy was not being his usual on-top-of-things self, Envy went on a loving rant about his marital issues and trying to become a better husband to his wife of 18 years, Gia Casey.

Folks started to speculate that Envy actually had a jumpoff...and that it was none other than "LAHH" star Erica Mena.  And when Erica's on-again off-again boyfriend Rich Dollaz went on the show afterwards, things were slightly awkward.

We speculated all this may be a PR stunt to set up a new reality show story line. 

Now, Erica says in an interview with entertainment site I Am Super Gorge that she will explain more in her upcoming book (sigh), but that you can't break up a happy home.

In regards to the DJ Envy thing, I know that people have been calling me a home wrecker. I'm just going to keep it real simple and say you can’t break a home that’s already broken. At the end of the day, whatever happened with him and his marriage it definitely has nothing to do with me. I believe that in time people will kind of get a better understanding. Because my book will be explaining it all and it drops in April. You guys get to get the full situation about me and DJ Envy. Like I said, you can’t break a home that’s already broken.

Seeing that Envy and Gia--who is pregnant again--are still very much together, we're not sure what "broken" means.  But she goes on to say that she left Envy alone to be with Rich, and now Envy is acting like a "happily married man."  Apparently, not acting happy in a marriage gives everyone permission to cheat.  Erica said:

I left that situation alone because I wanted to be with Rich.  He's been married for 18 years.  He never once acted married until recently until I guess he found out that I was engaged.  He definitely wasn't a proud married man for a very long time.  And I guess after finding out that me and Rich were supposedly engaged he's playing this role that he was a happily married man.  I don't have to pretend, he does.

And about whether she's actually pregnant, Erica says she wants to "leave people in suspense."  Um....

How coincidental.  The newest Cali rapper prepped to take the West Coast throne just dropped the video for his song that's in part a salute to Janet Jackson.  Kendrick Lamar's "Poetic Justice" video inside, plus Ms. Jackson herself rocking her iconic braids again at Milan Fashion Week...

Janet's fabulous self put in her box braids....not as iconic as her Poetic Justice film braids but just as cute...for her Milan Fashion Week stint.  She and her boyfriend Wissam hit up Sergio Rossi presentation cocktail with Mr. Rossi himself:

Gorge.

And even though Janet didn't make a cameo in Kendrick Lamar's much anticipated "Poetic Justice" video...though she was reportedly asked to do so....he made the vid just as interesting.

Dr. Dre & Eminem's protege brings it back to his hometown of Compton for a romantic yet sad message.  He and his round-the-way girlfriend are included in parallel love stories, as well as his homie Drake who's featured on the track. Last night, Jermaine Durpri hosted an intimate dinner with many of his So So Def artists to kick off the his So So Def 20th Anniversary Weekend. See pics of Bow Wow, Chris Kelly (Kris Kross), Da Brat, Jagged Edge and more inside...

Last night, Jermaine Dupri teamed up with VIBE, Crown Royal Black, Ciroc, Brand Jordan, UBER and Blackberry to kick off the So So Def 20th Anniversary Weekend.

The festivities kicked off with an intimate dinner at a top secret location in Atlanta with his artists, including folks like Bone Crusher.  He told everyone, “This is my way of saying thank you for helping me build the So So Def empire. This is a historical moment, so tonight I’m celebrating you. Sit back, relax…I’m gonna serve you. But enjoy it, because that will never happen again!”  

The staff served the guests a lavish meal prepared by Chef Michael Hebb and custom “Afroman” cake by Jaxon Pastries.

Bow Wow, one of Jermaine's top selling acts (and biggest mouth pieces) was there to rep for So So Def.  

Chris Kelly (of Kris Kross) wore his pants backwards, ofc ourse, and showed his support.

Chris and Bow Wow were later seen greeting one another when Jermaine revealed that it was their first time meeting!  “In all these years, this is the first time that Bow Wow and Chris Kelly have ever met. Bow Wow is a product of Kris Kross, so the fact that we can bring everyone together like this means a lot.”

1/2 of Xscape (LaTocha and Tamika Scott) were on hand.  While we know that LaTocha will be on "R&B Divas" next season, we can't help but miss seeing Kandi Burruss and Tameka "Tiny" Harris in this pic.  Oh wells.  We're SURE Kandi won't be showing up for the concert as there's still mixed feeling between her and the Scott sisters.

Can you believe Da Brat is 38?  You have to admit the chick hasn't aged much since her debut. 

"Let's Get Married" singers Jagged Edge (twins Brandon and Brian Casey) showed some love to JD.  

Dondria, who has a big following on YouTube, was there.

"Damn!" rappers YoungBloodz stepped out for the dinner.

"Never Scared" rapper Bone Crusher was spotted chillin before dinner.

Dem Franchise Boyz posed for pics with a little "Oh I Think They Like Me" swagger.

JD's mother and daughter Shaniah were also there to show their support. 

Veteran music exec, Michael Mauldin (JD’s father), came out as well.

The drama just doesn't stop with these "Love & Hip Hop: ATL" cast members.  Even if their series is not currently on the air, they're currently filming and making news.

D.C.'s Aladdin "Prince of the Airwayz" spoke with K.Michelle after her performance at the Howard Theater this week. And she revealed a little nugget of info about leaving "LAHH ATL."  She first told the crowd on stage that she would be leaving the show, and she explained further backstage.

She explained, "I'm on this season.  We're on the 6th episode, and after that...from now on it's only music.  because that's all the time I have.  So they're going to just have to catch me."

So it sounds like halfway through filming the season, K. is over it and focusing only on her music.   Check out the interview below:

And that's not all.  This morning on The Breakfast Club, after K.Michelle was in the studio this week for her interview, the co-hosts called up both Mimi and her boyfriend Nikko to explain the beef going down with them and K.  After K. said on the air that Nikko was a down low dude and she believes he's gay, a flower throwing fight went down backstage at K's BB King's show.

This morning, MiMi said K. Michelle has ruined their friendship  And Nikko chimed in saying that K. is only mad because she tried to get with him, and he turned her down and said, "I'm with Mimi."  Nikko insisted that he is not gay and has never been with a man. She maintains she has never met Nikko before they met on camera just recently, so he's 100% lying about her trying to get at him. She said simply, that's MiMi's type....not hers. Womp.

Not only does this not sound believable, but it actually sounds like something a producer would have written out for this dude so that it ends up on the show.  It is odd that he all of a sudden is soaking up all this new found fame after riding MiMi's coattail.

K. Michelle was then called up to respond.  And SHE revealed that not only is Nikko on the down low, but it is supposedly well known in the Atlanta gay community that Nikko has a gay roommate in ATL.  She says she doesn't care who you're poking your "business" into, but lying to women about it is a problem.  Double womp.

Sean Kingston and Chris Brown were spotted on a pair of scooters rolling through the streets of Hawaii the day after Rihanna's birthday celebration.  See the pics inside...

Chris Brown, who on the fab island for his boo Rihanna's b-day, was seen atop a scooter while on vacation in Oahu, Hawaii yesterday.

And Breezy was spotted hanging with friend Sean Kingston who tweeted, “Living life. All with positive energy and positive people.”  

Sean, who recently starred in the E! special"Fame In The Family", revealed that he and Rihanna, who celebrated her 25th birthday earlier this week, have a special friendship.  He says his mom cooks Jamaican food for RiRi whenever she's in town.  She's an island gal afterall.
